Big wins🩷
I feel like groomers are often guilty of only posting the “good” dogs… but in all honesty in a normal working day at least one dog is a work-in-progress.
Reversing behavioural issues linked to grooming can take years of trust building, patience and perseverance.
I’ve been grooming Chester since November 2024 and last week he completed his second groom WITHOUT having to be muzzled🥹 This has slowly changed over time from having to be muzzled throughout styling to just for his front feet to now, muzzle free. I’m so proud of him and I think it’s important for those of you with similar dogs to know that it is possible, they’re not ‘bad’ dogs and as long as I can handle them as a lone groomer it simply just takes time and care.
Chester is kept to a schedule of 8wks between grooms, he also never has any knots or matting meaning the sole focus other than giving him a haircut is making it a positive experience. Dogs thrive with a routine and if they can learn to trust their groomer, the game changes🙌🏼
