🐾 THE IMPORTANCE OF PUPPY INTRODUCTIONS 🐾
Bringing home a new puppy is so exciting! 🥰 But one thing we really recommend is getting them used to grooming from an early age.
We recommend booking your puppy introduction after their 2nd vaccinations, following the date your vet gives you for when they are safe to go out on walks and mix with other dogs.
A puppy introduction isn't about giving them a full groom straight away. It's about gently introducing them to:
🐾 The grooming salon
🐾 Being handled all over
🐾 The grooming table
🐾 Clippers and equipment
🐾 The dryer
🐾 Having their paws, ears and face touched
Most importantly, it's about building trust and creating positive experiences. ❤️
Grooming is a lifetime thing for our dogs. Whether your dog needs regular full grooms, baths, nail trims, tidy-ups or just occasional maintenance, at some point throughout their life they will experience some form of grooming.
Helping them feel comfortable from the beginning can make such a huge difference.
Every puppy is different — some take to it straight away, while others need a little more time, patience and reassurance. That's completely normal! 🥰
A positive start can help set them up for a lifetime of happier, more confident grooming visits. ❤️
So please don't wait until your puppy desperately needs a haircut — get them booked in early and let us introduce them to grooming at their own pace! 🐾
