Firework season is coming, and now is the
time to start preparing!
Calming plug-ins can help create a more
relaxing environment for pets who may feel
anxious or unsettled by fireworks. Starting
them early gives them time to work before the
loud bangs begin.
Speak to a member of our team if you need
any pet calming tips.

Here’s what happens at a Senior Health Check…

As dogs get older, subtle changes can be easy to miss, that’s why we take a closer look at their overall wellbeing, discussing everything from mobility and weight to eating, drinking and behavioural changes.

We can also help identify age-related conditions early, so your dog stays comfortable, active and enjoying life for as long as possible.

Signs such as slowing down on walks, struggling with stairs, sleeping more, or changes in sociability aren't always "just old age“, they could be worth a conversation with us. 💛

If you’d like to know more or book an appointment, please get in touch today.

Halloween means plenty of chocolate treats
around the house, but while they might be a
tasty treat for us, chocolate can be seriously
harmful to dogs.

Chocolate contains theobromine, which can
cause serious illness – and there’s no “a little is fine” when it comes to our pets.

If you think your dog has eaten chocolate, don’t wait for symptoms to appear.

Give us a call straight away on 0191 536 7777 (Boldon) or 0191 456 3366 (South Shields) so
we can advise you on what to do next.

And remember: keep those Halloween treats
well out of paw's reach!🐾

We hate the expression “it’s because they’re old”, as most of the time… it isn’t! 😤

Changes such as slowing down on walks, sleeping more or reluctance to jump into the car are often aligned with, getting older, but can sometimes indicate underlying health concerns.

Speak to the team today about our full nose-to-tail checks. 🐾
