Grey’s Koi

24/10/2026

Its exciting times again for Grey’s Koi…It’s getting closer now, and we’ll soon make the pilgrimage to Japan once again!

This trip will be a landmark trip as we will have been visiting Japan for 20 years now, first as hobbyists then with all our gained knowledge and experience as a koi business.

We will be posting plenty of content while we’re in Japan, so watch out for updates here and on all our social platforms and website…

Also for all our customers, so you don’t miss any updates from us…please join our WhatsApp Group…

We will once again be visiting all the well known southern breeders which we have built up a very good relationship with.

As always, we will be selecting ‘Quality over Quantity’ single pieces that we think will have a future here at Grey’s koi or with their new owner. At the same time, we will have one eye for the show scene for those that show their koi.

All our koi we import ourselves and go through our strict bio-security procedures as set out by the Fish Health Inspectorate on their annual inspection of our premises. Therefore, we can assure you your koi collection will be safe.

If you would like us to find you a particular special koi, please contact us with your details…

Our two new ponds are now fired up and running! Ticking over sweet!👌

A lot for blood, sweat and some tears have went into these ponds for sure! Still not fully finished with more cosmetics to compete.

Watch out for more updates soon…and check out our ‘Building a Koi Pond’ videos on our YouTube channel!

On to starting the next pond soon! Already dug out…we must be mad!😮‍💨😅

First update for one of our many Azukari Koi we have in Japan! From Yume Koi Japan…

Tamaura Sanke – Female – Yonsai – 73cm

Mike has done fantastic once again, with her growing well and looking superb! A true top-level koi we feel with a great future, with a wonderful head & body structure, skin & colour quality with longevity and a developing pattern...we can’t wait to see her in the flesh soon😎.

We selected her as Nisai from Tamaura Koi Farm while visiting Japan in February 2025.

Many thanks again Mike🙏☺️.

We are soon off to Japan…so keep an eye out for updates here.

We’ll be travelling down south and visiting the Southern Breeders…searching and selecting koi for stock and our customers.
