The art of NOT going through an open door. 😅

We had a shuffle around in the kennels today so we turned it into a training moment. 7 dogs, 1 open door, 0 barging allowed.

This is boundary control. Simple, boring, and could save your dog's life one day.

One name = one dog moves. The rest? Their job is to wait. Good dogs.

🚨 PIGEON WATCH IS ON DUTY 🚨
From left to right: Brian, Tango and Nero.

Zero pigeons are getting past this crew today. The neighbourhood watch has never looked cuter! 😂🐦

Someone's had a good de-shed and brush today. Just look at all that fluff!

Handsome as ever though, aren't you Nero? 🤎🤍

Back to basics today 👊

Lovely to have a breed in we don't see often - a Chinese Red Dog (Laizhou Hong).

Solid example of why foundation work matters. No matter the breed, size or drive, that place command, sit and stay is where it all starts. Get the foundation right and everything else becomes so much easier.

Great work from this lad today.

Foundation is key for all dogs.

That end-of-a-long-day lean.

Venti sneaking in for a bit of affection before we close up here at Critters Dogs. Those eyes say it all. 🤎

Hope all our pups are resting easy tonight.

Supervisor on duty 🐾

Thought I was just nipping to check the sheep.

Apollo had other ideas. Quality control inspection in progress. Making sure the gate is secure, I'm doing it correctly, and that absolutely no sheep get past without his approval. 😂

This is what we love to see though - curiosity, engagement, and holding position at a boundary even when he really wants to be involved. That gate wait is a trained skill, not just cute paws.

10/10 for supervision, Apollo. 0 notes.

Anyone else got a four-legged supervisor who never takes a day off?

Those two are absolutely nailing it — that is calmness on hard mode.

Rufus and Sherman look so settled together, especially with all the distractions around them at what looks like a show. Sue should be really proud of that.
