We’ve bee working hard with Rafa and his owners to make them the centre of his world.

As you can see im having to bust my balls to get him to break.

Even once he does, one big shout from his owner and he’s heading back like a missile 🚀 🙌🏻.

This type of training will hold him in really good stead once we hit the parks and the distractions are everywhere.

A Handful 😬

Both dogs pulled whether they were walked separately or together.

No real engagement with owner.

Pulling to sniff 👃
Pulling to get ahead 🏃
Pulling to other dogs 🐕

Basically, as soon as the leads went on it was a chariot race.

We split them up, trained them individually then gradually reintroduced them back together with lots of rewards when they got it right.

Becky has been fully on board throughout and worked really hard to get them squared away. 💪

How To Teach your Dog Recall

Recall can be one of the toughest nuts to crack but arguably one of the most important!!!

Not only does it allow you to relax in multiple situations but it can literally save your dogs life! Sounds dramatic eh?

Scenarios - roads, rivers, other dogs that aren’t friendly etc etc. Additionally, if your dog doesn’t have solid recall, it shouldn’t be off the lead because even though your dog is really friendly there will be other dogs out there that, for a multitude of reasons, do not need another dog running over to them and getting in their face, especially if the other dog is on a lead!!!
