Here at Sandhole we love all animals , particularly the variety of wonderful wildlife that we see almost daily!
Have you ever brought injured wildlife to us and wondered what happens next??......
Meet 3 lovely Hedgehogs - Priscilla, Sonic and Nate, all brought to us over the last week! Their journeys began, as with all wildlife, with an assessment from the clinical team. This assessment allows us to attain the full extent of their injuries, their body condition score and the possibility of rehabilitation before being successfully released back into the wild.
Once this assessment is complete and is deemed that rehabilitation is possible, we provide food, fluid, warmth and any necessary medications until we can get these animals to the amazing wildlife professionals at Folly and Thorne rescue (You may occasionally see our facebook posts asking for volunteers to drive these little guys to Folly - This is incredibly helpful and we are always VERY grateful!!)
As you can see these little hedgehogs are greatly appreciating some respite and a fully tummy before beginning their journey back to the wild!
Thank you so much to Thorne Hedgehog Rescue and Folly Wildlife
🦔🦔🦔Good luck Priscilla, Sonic and Nate! 💓
