🦷🧚♀️One tooth, 1 session 💥👊
Gum disease in dogs starts when a sticky film (plaque) forms on the teeth within hours of eating, a combination of bacteria, saliva, and food.
If plaque is not brushed or scraped away within 3 to 4 days, it mixes with minerals in the dog's saliva and hardens into tartar, which has a rough surface that traps even more bacteria.
Gingivitis (First Stage): The bacteria and tartar irritate the gum tissue, causing inflammation known as gingivitis. The gums become red, swollen, and prone to bleeding. This stage is fully reversible with proper cleaning and care.
Periodontitis (Advanced Stages): If left untreated, bacteria move below the gumline and destroy the ligaments and bone supporting the teeth, leading to receding gums, loose teeth, pain, and health risks.
Dental disease is a painful and common condition in dogs. It's important to check your dog's mouth regularly
If your dog is boarding with us, you can book an intensive Emmi pet dental course for them during their stay.
We also treat lots of our day care dogs on a regular basis to maintain a clean and healthy mouth ❤️
Please note...this is for Dinky Doghouse clients ONLY, I do not do home visits 😊
