Just a little post as I have a few new pet sits coming up this year, and I wanted to make you all aware of my policy when it comes to cameras and recording during pet sits🐾
I completely understand wanting to keep an eye on your pets while you’re away, but I personally do not consent to being recorded or watched while I’m in the home. It’s really uncomfortable to feel like you’re being monitored, especially when you’re staying in someone’s home and caring for their animals.
When you put your trust in someone to look after your pets, of course you want to know they’re a decent person who will love and care for them just as much as you do. ❤️ And the best way to get to know me is to sit and chat to me! I’m always happy to find the time to pop over for a cuppa and a talk. ☕️ Much better than hiding a camera in your house! 🫣
I completely understand that you may want a camera on your pets. I’m absolutely happy for cameras to be switched on when I pop out without your pet, so you can check in on them if you wish. I will then switch them off again when I return.
And please don’t worry — you’ll always get plenty of updates from me! 📸🐶🐱 Photos, videos, messages, and I’ll even FaceTime you if you like! 🤣 I’m more than happy to keep you updated and let you see how happy and settled your pets are while you’re away.
I hope you all understand that this is simply about basic human privacy and feeling comfortable in the home I’m staying in. I’m more than happy to discuss this with you before any sit so that we’re all clear and comfortable with the arrangement. 🐶🐱❤️
