🐾 New here? We're The Dog Walker Slaithwaite! 🐾

Nearly two years ago, I swapped teaching for muddy boots, dog leads and a life outdoors. And I haven't looked back! 🐕

What started as a one-woman adventure has grown into a little family-run business, with my daughter Ruby now joining me.

Between us, we offer plenty of ways to keep your four-legged (and smaller furry!) family members happy. ❤️

🌿 Me, Becky: I'm happiest out on the moors with my small, carefully matched groups of dogs. Think countryside adventures, off-lead exploring, secure field sessions, plenty of sniffing and lots of canine friendships!

🏡 Ruby: Our home visit and solo walk specialist! From puppy welfare visits to gentle walks for dogs who prefer a slower pace, Ruby provides individual care tailored to each pet. She also looks after cats enjoying their home comforts, and rabbits, guinea pigs and other little furries needing some TLC.

🐾 What we offer:

- Small group countryside dog walks
- Secure field adventures
- Solo dog walks
- Puppy and dog home visits
- Cat care and holiday visits
- Rabbit, guinea pig and small animal care

📍 Covering Slaithwaite, Marsden, Linthwaite, Golcar and surrounding areas.

We're a small business with a big love of animals, and we care for your pets just as we do our own. ❤️

💌 New enquiries always welcome! Drop us a message for a chat about your pet and how we can help.

And if you're new to our page, have a scroll! You'll find muddy paws, wagging tails, beautiful Yorkshire countryside and some of the brilliant characters who make our working days so much fun. 🐾

The nights are drawing in… 🌙🐾

And nobody really fancies pounding the pavements in the dark before work and then doing it all over again when they get home!

I have a few spaces available on my daytime group walks, giving your dog the chance to get out in the daylight, explore the countryside, stretch their legs and enjoy some four-legged company.

🏆🐾 AND THE WAGGIEST TAIL AWARD GOES TO... TESS! 🥇

Meet Tess, our gorgeous cocker spaniel and quite possibly the happiest little explorer on the moors!

Nose down, tail up, permanently on a mission. 👀🐕

Always seeking, always searching, and always delighted with whatever she discovers.

Some dogs go for a walk. Tess conducts a full countryside investigation, powered by pure enthusiasm and one VERY busy tail! 😂❤️

Today's Waggiest Tail Award: Tess. An unanimous decision! 🏆

🍂🐾 The nights have drawn in... and the clocks go back this weekend! ⏰

Dark mornings, darker evenings and muddy paws everywhere! Autumn has definitely arrived in the Colne Valley. 🍁

And let's face it, nobody really fancies pounding the pavements in the dark before work, only to do it all again when they get home!

🐕 We have a few spaces available on our daytime group walks, giving your dogs the chance to explore our beautiful countryside, stretch their legs and enjoy some four-legged company while you're busy.

But we're not just about dog walks!

🐾 We also offer home visits for:

Dogs and puppies who need a little company

Cats who prefer their home comforts 🐈

Rabbits, guinea pigs and other little furries 🐰

Whether it's countryside adventures or a little TLC at home, we care for your pets just as we do our own. ❤️

FRANK & BILLY: THE FIGHTER & THE FIXER

Same breed. Two completely different operating systems.

🥊 FRANK | The Fighter

Built like a heavyweight. Moves like a middleweight.

An athletic powerhouse who laughs in the face of the bulldog stereotype. Frank tackles every trail with enthusiasm, stamina and surprising agility. He's got the muscle, the moves and the heart of a champion.

🎩 BILLY | The Fixer

A stoic gentleman. A master strategist. A bulldog who knows his own mind.

Billy doesn't rush into decisions. He considers his options, surveys the terrain and determines whether the proposed route meets his approval.

And if it doesn't? We renegotiate.

Frank brings the athleticism. Billy brings the authority.

One does the fighting. The other calls the shots.

Together, an unbeatable partnership.

🐾 PUP LORE | The Guardians of the Golden Throne

Every dog has a legend.

Meet Lady Jean and Sir Billy, the legendary Basset sentinels of Slaithwaite.

With their humans away exploring distant lands, these two noble hounds have sworn a sacred oath.

Protect Lady Ruby. Defend the kingdom. Trust no stranger.

From their golden throne, they survey the horizon. Every passing vehicle is monitored. Every approaching footstep scrutinised.

But legend tells of one visitor they await above all others…

🍕 THE KEEPER OF THE TAKEAWAY.

For Jean and Billy are not merely guardians of the household.

They are also Heads of Security, Deliveries & Quality Control.

And not a single chip shall pass without inspection.

🐾 Real dogs. Imaginary worlds. Legendary characters.

🐾🇮🇳 DOGS OF GOA | The Ultimate Countdown! 🏆

Goa has plenty of four-legged characters, and naturally, I've been keeping an eye on them all! 👀🐕

From sleepy sunbathers and expert people-watchers to temple wanderers and some seriously charming personalities, the competition for Top Dog of Goa has been fierce!

But who takes the crown? 👑

Let's just say there's one gorgeous, smiley character who completely stole my heart. ❤️ Watch to the end for my winner!

One thing I've loved, both here and in Mumbai, is seeing how people and animals share their everyday spaces. Dogs snoozing in the shade, cows ambling along and locals thoughtfully leaving out bowls of water for them.

There's something rather lovely about this easy coexistence in such a beautiful country.

And as for the dogs? They've definitely got the Goan attitude sorted.

No rush. No worries. Just watch the world go by. 🌴🐾

And while I’m away adventuring, Ruby is hard at work keeping our home visits going and getting all the puppy cuddles. Tough gig! 🥰

🐾 PUP PROFILE | DOTTIE 🐾

Black Cockapoo | Professional Bog Detector 💦

Full of life, full of spirit and permanently operating at approximately 97mph!

Dottie has an extraordinary natural ability to locate water, mud and questionable boggy substances from at least half a mile away. If it exists, she will find it. If there's a clean route and a filthy route, Dottie considers the clean one a navigational error.

She loves a good zoom, races around with enormous enthusiasm and believes every creature encountered on a walk, whether two-legged or four-legged, has been placed there specifically for her to meet.

Winter brings the famous high-vis orange Equafleece, partly for warmth, partly for visibility, and largely in the optimistic hope that we might return Dottie to her humans in something approaching her original condition.

Unfortunately, the Equafleece is frequently defeated by its occupant. 😂

🐾 Special skills: Bog detection • Zoomies • Making friends • Turning black into muddy brown

💬 Life motto: "Why go around it when you can go straight through it?"
