Squeaky by name and by nature, she had a lot to say in reception when she first came in, turns out by the time she left she was a boy!!
Safe to say his owners were a little shocked when vet Chris discovered his manhood.

Still suits the name though ๐Ÿพ keep squeaking squeaky ๐Ÿงก

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ โ€ผ๏ธ Appointments update โ€ผ๏ธ ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ

We currently have limited appointments available from next week for general consultations.
We also keep a small number of appointments for on-the-day requests, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on urgency and priority.

If your petโ€™s condition is not considered urgent or an emergency, we may offer an alternative appointment within few days. We understand this can be frustrating, but our priority must always be the patients who need us most.

Where possible, we will offer advice and guidance to help you care for your pet at home while you wait.

Please bear with us during this challenging time. We are doing our very best to accommodate everyone, and your petsโ€™ health and welfare remain at the heart of every decision we make ๐Ÿฉต

We also ask for kindness and respect towards our team. We understand the worry that comes with an unwell pet, but abusive comments and behaviour will not be tolerated. Our team is working incredibly hard and deserves to be treated with respect.

Thank you to all our wonderful clients for your continued patience, understanding and support. It really does mean a lot to us. ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿพ A Friendly Reminder to Our Clients ๐Ÿพ

We understand that caring for your pets can sometimes be an emotional and stressful experience, and we are always here to listen, help and support you wherever we can. โค๏ธ

However, we would like to kindly remind everyone that we have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of abuse towards our team, whether verbal, written or in person. Our staff deserve to be treated with the same kindness, courtesy and respect that they show to you and your beloved pets every day.

Like many veterinary practices, we are working hard behind the scenes to keep our practice running smoothly, navigate the challenges we face and continue providing the high standard of care your pets deserve. This is only possible with a dedicated team who feel safe, supported and respected in their workplace.

We are always happy to listen to concerns and discuss any issues in a calm and constructive manner. However, abusive or threatening behaviour towards our team will not be tolerated.

Thank you to all our wonderful clients who continue to support us, show kindness to our team and trust us with the care of your precious pets. We truly appreciate you. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ’š

Kindness and respect go a long way โ€” letโ€™s continue to work together for the sake of our pets. ๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ–ค Double trouble ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿงก

Bartholeโ€™meow and Douglas came in for their monthly nurse flea and worm check last week.
As you can see Bartholeโ€™meow (the ginger one) was super relaxed and even did a spot of self cleaning whilst waiting for his sister Douglas to come out of their carrier.
We canโ€™t wait to see them again ๐Ÿพ

Wow, how handsome is Chester ๐Ÿพ

This stunning boy came into us for a pre castration check. He was very cooperative allowing a full examination in order to approve him for an anaesthetic and to neuter.

โœ‚๏ธ The benefits of neutering include:

๐Ÿ’™ Helps reduce the number of unwanted cats and kittens.

๐Ÿก Reduces roaming โ€“ Neutered males are often less likely to wander far from home searching for a mate, reducing the risk of road traffic accidents and getting lost.

๐Ÿพ Helps reduce fighting โ€“ Can reduce hormone-driven aggression and fighting with other cats, lowering the risk of bite wounds and abscesses.

๐Ÿšซ Less spraying and marking

โค๏ธ Protects his health โ€“ Eliminates the risk of testicular cancer and may reduce certain hormone-related behaviours that can put him at risk.

๐Ÿ“… When to neuter?
Many cats can be neutered from around 4 months of age, depending on their health and development. Speak to your vet about the best time for your kitten.

๐Ÿ’ก Remember: Neutering is a routine veterinary procedure, and your vet can guide you through the process, recovery and aftercare.

๐Ÿˆ Be responsible, protect your pet and help unwanted litters

๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ”น MEET NASH ๐Ÿ”น๐Ÿพ

Nash came for his 2nd vaccination and was very brave! ๐Ÿพ
We also provided advice on the importance of regular flea and worm treatments, diet, exercise, and insurance.

Nash is a fast-growing Labrador who will require good-quality food specifically designed for a growing puppy. This ensures he gets all the right nutrients to grow properly and helps his bones grow strong. ๐Ÿฆด

As we all know, Labradors (along with other large breeds) can be prone to hip and elbow dysplasia. Weight problems often contribute to these joint issues, which is why choosing the right diet and having a solid pet insurance policy in place is so important.

Please feel free to ask our vets and nurses for advice when you are next at the practice.

See you soon, Nash, for your monthly nurse check! ๐Ÿถ

๐Ÿพ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป HAPPY VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST DAY ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ๐Ÿพ

Today we want to say a BIG thank you to our amazing reception team! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿฅฐ

Our receptionist/s so much more than the friendly faces you see when you walk through the door. They are quite literally the face and first point of call for our practice โ€” and they have one of the hardest jobs in the whole team!

๐Ÿ“ž Taking calls and helping owners work out whether something is routine, urgent or an emergency
๐Ÿ“… Booking appointments and keeping the diary organised
๐Ÿ’Š Ordering medications and making sure prescriptions are ready
๐Ÿ“ Preparing paperwork and keeping on top of all the admin behind the scenes
๐Ÿ’ฌ Offering advice and guidance wherever they can
โค๏ธ Being a calm, reassuring voice on the end of the phone when owners are worried about their pets
๐Ÿก Making sure reception is welcoming, friendly, clean and tidy
๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ And, of course, greeting every patient and their owner with a smile!

They often have to juggle several things at once, deal with worried owners, manage a busy phone line, keep the day running smoothly and somehow remember everything that needs doing!

So today, we want to recognise just how much our reception team does behind the scenes and at the front of the practice.

Thank you for everything you do โ€” you are such an important part of our team and we couldnโ€™t do it without you! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿพ
