Isnt is AMAZING how quiet parks are on days like today?!! 🤣 — PURE LAZINESS 📣
🌧️ “My dog doesn’t like the rain.”
No. Your dog doesn’t hate the rain.
They simply understand what you’ve taught them.
☔ Rain arrives…
❌ No walk.
❌ No play.
❌ No adventure.
❌ No engagement.
Over time, your dog learns that rain means boredom.
It’s amazing how many owners I work with who confidently tell me their dog “doesn’t like the rain”, when in reality they’ve conditioned that response themselves.
Most dogs don’t care about the weather.
They care about what the weather predicts.
🐕 If every rainy day means staying indoors, of course your dog isn’t going to be excited when the clouds roll in.
But if rain means flirt pole sessions, training games, woodland walks, chasing a ball, or simply spending quality time with you, they’ll learn to embrace it.
💪 Confidence isn’t built on perfect days. Resilience isn’t built on perfect days. Great dogs aren’t built on perfect days.
They’re built through exposure, structure, training, routine and having an outlet regardless of the forecast.
And let’s be honest…
It’s often the same people who say their dog hates the rain that allow their dogs to run up to every dog they see, while spending their time on Facebook policing anyone exercising their dogs in warm weather. 🥱
Get outside.
Get wet.
Have fun.
Your dog will thank you for it. 💯
