Tilly is literally the most beautiful girl inside and out. She loves her walkies and spending time with her doggy pals and we love her soooooo much 💕🫶🏼

Such a handsome lad. A golden oldie he may be but he still enjoys his walks and loves saying hello to anyone willing 💕🐶 ...

Barney had the best day ever at his mum and dad’s wedding. He was a very happy and excited boy who lapped up attention from all his family and friends and loved walking the beautiful grounds

Congratulations and 🥂

“Don’t worry, my dog is friendly!”

We hear this all the time—but being friendly doesn’t mean your dog should run up to every dog they see.

Not every dog wants to say hello. Some may be nervous, recovering from an injury, elderly, reactive, working, overwhelmed or simply uncomfortable around unfamiliar dogs.

A dog on a lead, being kept close, moving away or showing signs of stress is asking for space. Please respect that.

Uncontrolled greetings can quickly become overwhelming or unsafe. Your dog’s good intentions do not guarantee that the other dog will feel comfortable—and “my dog is friendly” or just wants to say "hello" is not a substitute for reliable recall or responsible supervision.

Good socialisation does not mean meeting every dog. It means learning to:

• Walk calmly past other dogs
• Focus on their owner
• Respond to recall
• Respect another dog’s space
• Greet only when both owners agree

If your dog cannot be recalled immediately, keep them on a lead or long line around other dogs.

Sometimes the kindest thing your dog can do is simply walk past and leave another dog alone.

🚨 IMPORTANT PET FOOD RECALL – YEARS DOG FOOD 🚨

‼️We want to make our clients aware of the voluntary recall of Years fresh dog food in the UK.

Years has recalled its fresh meals following reports of dogs developing keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), commonly known as dry eye. The potential link between the food and these cases is currently being investigated.

If your dog eats Years food:
❌ Stop feeding Years immediately, even if your dog currently appears completely well.
❌ Do not give the food to another pet or donate it.
✅ Contact Years regarding the recall and disposal/collection of the food.
✅ Introduce an alternative complete diet.

Please contact us promptly if your dog has been eating Years and you notice any eye problems, particularly:
• Red or inflamed eyes
• Squinting or keeping the eyes closed
• Increased blinking
• Excessive or thick/mucoid discharge
• Cloudiness or a change in the appearance of the eyes
• Signs of eye pain or discomfort

Dry eye can be painful and, if severe or untreated, can result in corneal ulceration and permanent damage to vision, so please don't wait for symptoms to worsen.

If your pet has been fed Years food and you are concerned, please contact the practice for advice.

Please share this post to help other dog owners who may not yet be aware of the recall. 🐾

It’s lovely to see some recognition for the work we all as businesses in the pet care sector put in to keep the fluffs we care for safe and happy during extreme weather events. It’s been the toughest few months with this heat. We’ve taken a fit financially with cancellations, we’ve spent hours of extra time rescheduling appointments and communicating with clients, we started work super early and finished late but at the end of the day it’s always safety first. Roll on some kinder weather and getting back to our normal walking schedule. We’ve missed it and so have our amazing client dogs. 🐕 ###x

🐾Small Business Sunday 🐾

As the weather finally starts to change, let’s remember and reflect on the small dog businesses who’ve spent months putting dogs before business.

Through months of hot weather, responsible dog businesses have been encouraging you not to take your dogs out in the heat — even when that means sacrificing their own income.

Dog walkers have cancelled and rearranged walks. Dog walking fields have lost bookings. Groomers have dealt with cancellations and changed schedules. Businesses have reduced or altered their hours. Events have been cancelled.

These businesses have quietly taken the financial hit while doing what’s best for our dogs. So as the cooler days return, let’s return the favour.

Book the walk. Book the field. Visit the shop. Place the order. Leave the review. Share the post.

Let’s support the small dog businesses (tag them below) that have spent this hot summer putting our dogs first. 🐾❤️

This is so important, if you move home or adopt a new dog or cat please make sure you update the details on their chip 🐶🐱

🐾 Check the Chip Day 🐾

1 in 3 pets will get lost during their lifetime — but a microchip can be the difference between lost and found. 🏠

In England, microchipping is compulsory for all dogs by 8 weeks and all owned cats by 20 weeks. 🐱🐶

A microchip is a tiny capsule, about the size of a grain of rice, placed under the skin. It holds a unique number linked to your contact details on a secure database, helping vets and other organisations reunite lost pets with their families.

Implantation takes seconds, feels like a normal injection and doesn’t require surgery or anaesthesia. 💉

Microchipping is included in our Bobbing Hill Plan, giving your pet essential protection as part of their preventive healthcare. 💙

Please remember: a chip is only useful if the details are correct. Make sure your phone number and address are always up to date. Not doing so can lead to a fine of up to £500. You can update your pet’s microchip online, by phone or by post (depending on the database). 📞 ✉️

If you’re unsure who your pet’s microchip is registered with, we’re happy to scan the chip and let you know. 🏥

Let’s keep our fur babies safe and check their chips today. 🥰
