A doggy day trip for Birch Hill Dog Rescue resident Bailey, thanks to Jennifer Taylor again for donating to a dog at Birch Hill to enjoy 🫶🏻

Isn’t he beautifulllll??? 6 year old Bailey has been signed over from a home environment. He knows tricks, he checks in, he’s good on the lead and the more time we spent together the happier he seemed 😍

However, Bailey was a Covid dog, and struggles in social situations. We did pass a lady with a dog, he hid behind my leg. Bailey makes it quite clear that he doesn’t want to be overly fussed, he sort of shrugs you off and wants to do something else. It’s important he’s listened to and his body language is noticed as he has nipped in the past.

Bailey loved being out and about and was straight in the water! He enjoyed toys and playing games, you can really see that he’s had training and been cared for before. Annoyingly my phone died or I would have loads more pics of this little poser!

Bailey does have some resource guarding in the home, so would benefit from someone with experience in this. He has been assessed and worked with by a behaviourist who the kennels are intouch with.

This gorgeous boy deserves a lovely understanding home, with adults and no other pets. For more info please call birch hill on 01299 270406

A doggy day trip for Birch Hill Dog Rescue resident, Reuben 🥹 thank you to Jennifer Taylor for donating a trip for a birch hill dog to enjoy 🙏

Imagine ending up in a dog pound nearly completely blind. He must have been so scared. Birch hill stepped up and gave him a lifeline 🙏

His disability doesn’t hold this big happy fella back though! He still manages to play with a ball and splash in water, he’s a big goof 😍 he does need a little extra care though and someone with plenty of patience and time for him.

Reuben was great on the longline, but if he can smell something interesting he will pull to investigate… he doesn’t realise he’s trying to get through a thorn bush. 😂

Possibly ok with a very laid-back big sized dog who wouldn’t mind being bumped into, older dog savvy kids

After struggling in another rescue, and being considered a difficult dog that they can’t rehome, rescuers pulled Brodie and Dun-Roamin' Rehoming & Sanctuary took him under their wing.

No pressure, no expectations, just a promise of somewhere safe where he could receive a better approach and be able to live in comfort for his future days. Dun Roamin’ have a way of allowing a dog to feel heard, not shut down, and in return their behaviour improves and the dogs are happier.

When work is building a beautiful connection with dogs like Bruno, I know I’ve done something right 🥹😍

When I first met Bru, he was a little.. spicey 😆 but we hit it off straight away and built trust over time.
Our progress meant I could take care of him last week so his family could focus on celebrating for a very special occasion 🥳

This bond feels special to me now, with Bruno rolling onto his back for a tummy rub, giving me snogs & letting me mess around with a harness on him😆 I’m totally in love can you tell?
