Sleapy Cat Rescue Based at Sleap near Wem SY4 3EW we rescue and re-home cats and kittens in the Shrewsbury, Wem, Whitchurch and most of North Shropshire areas.

Based at Sleap near Wem, we rescue and re-home cats and kittens in the Shrewsbury, Wem, Whitchurch and most of the North Shropshire areas. We are all volunteers and completely self funding. If you feel you could help by making a donation, please don't hesitate to give us a call on 07743 644795 or use the contact page on our website. If you could give a forever home to one of our residents, then please get in touch for a chat and to arrange a visit. We look forward to hearing from you. We require a minimum donation of £75 per cat but as of the 1st Oct 2022 this will go up to £90 due to increase in all prices and energy crisis (this will be more for a pedigree). This does not cover all of our costs, but it really does help. We would very much appreciate if you could donate more than this to help other kittens and cats to find loving forever homes. Every penny raised goes towards looking after the cats whilst they are in our care and towards finding homes for them. Some of our cats require extra veterinary treatment and this can be costly, so every penny counts. If you have lost or found a cat, you can send us details to place in our lost and found section. The more information you can give us the better. Please also include photos as this can help trace your lost pet. If you can pass on any information that you may have to the whereabouts of one of the lost pets detailed on our site, it would be very much appreciated by their owners and by us. Thank you

Just been thinking about a rescue that is very close to my heart for several years and have supported for several years and am inviting you to take a look at them they are Arthur's Legacy Cat Sanctuary run by Dave Gato & Glynis Taylor amazing people, they look after all the street cat's in Dalyan Turkey, they have over 50 feeding stations placed over the area and a wonderful team of volunteers go out most days to top the feeders up and give them fresh water, they also treat injured and sick cats and never say no, I have been going to Dalyan for 20yrs and always feed the cats while out there and believe me there are lots 😻 they have a FB page and totally relies on donations to pay for food for the feeding stations and vets fees, they have fantastic vets out there Mustafa and Ibrahim who regularly save the lives of many cats/kittens, Arthur's is the only one's that do this in Dalyan and even neuter the cat's that go to the vets with problems, It would make my day if you took a look at this amazing team and maybe follow them and as you no longer support us as closed maybe support them it's much needed

A very good friend sent me this isn't it beautiful it really is, made me have tears but certainly worth it, thank you so...

Good afternoon to you all, some very sad news I'm afraid and hope you all understand it really has been a very difficult decision to make. As of today we are closing our door's for good 😿 My health has not been good for the last few years and is getting increasingly worse so I have had to think of my health and now must come 1st, I have been in rescue for 26yrs and loved what myself and amazing volunteers have done to help cats and kittens in that time, sadly I am no longer physically or mentally able to carry on. We still did Wem Carnival due to the bills that will be coming in shortly, I would like to thank all our supporters who donated monthly by standing order or direct debit most of you will receive a letter or email thanking you but asking you to stop sending, you have helped so much over the years and for that we are more than grateful, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
