🎃Keeping your pets safe this Halloween🎃

Halloween can be a fun time for everyone but can carry some dangers for our furry friends 😔

🍫 Keep treats out of reach – Chocolate and sweets are toxic to our furry friends! So make sure they are out of reach.

🕯️ Be careful with decorations – Keep candles, pumpkins and electrical decorations away from curious paws and noses.

🐈 Create a safe space – Trick-or-treaters and doorbells can be unsettling, so make sure your pet has somewhere quiet to retreat to.

🎭 Costumes aren't for everyone – If your pet is wearing a costume, make sure it fits comfortably and doesn't restrict their movement, breathing or vision.

🐕 Keep them identifiable – With doors opening more frequently, make sure your pet's microchip details are up to date and they have suitable identification.

⭐ Our August Braveheart award winner was Betty, a wonderful girl who has undergone her fair share of veterinary treatment recently, all of which she has been incredibly brave for. ⭐

❤️ Betty first came to visit in order to have a few little lumps removed/investigated. Whilst with us, a mild abnormality was noted with her heart, and so, a few days later, Betty came in again for another visit so we could take a closer look. After her diagnosis of DCM (dilated cardiomyopathy) and some medication, Betty's owner reports that she is doing really well! ❤️

🎉 She remained her super-sweet, friendly self throughout the course of her treatment and we commend her on her bravery! 🎉
