RSPCA Gonsal Farm Equine Welfare & Rehabilitation Centre takes on a wide variety of horses & ponies for rehabilitation. Call us on 07720948636.

RSPCA Equine Welfare and Rehabilitation Centre, Gonsal Farm, near Shrewsbury,Shropshire
We take on a variety of horses and ponies throughout the year, all having different problems ranging from physical / mental abuse, starvation / emaciation, worm burdens (which will add to the horses problems e.g. anaemia) lice, disease, laminitis (severe) collapsed horses, severely overgrown feet and orphan foals. All our horses receive 24 hour care 365 days a year. Because we can offer around the clock care we are able to take the most severe cases of neglect and give them the best chance of survival and full recovery. The next stage of the rehabilitation process, once in good physical condition, is to assess the horse/pony's temperament and decide whether they will be a riding or companion horse/pony. We then continue our work whether it be handling from the ground or getting them ready to ride. Once these stages are complete we then strive to find the best possible home for them.

✨ Luna ✨ !APPLICATIONS CLOSED DUE TO HIGH DEMAND!

Luna is a stunning rising 4 year old Welsh mare, standing at 13.3hh. Luna is very sociable and enjoys having the company of other horses. She loves a pamper and fuss, and is good to do in all ways. As Luna came to us having had a foal so young, we would love for her to go to a home where she can enjoy being a young horse for a while before beginning to start her education. Luna lives out 24/7 in a herd of mares, however she is happy to come in and be stabled as long as she has some company. She is up to date with farrier and vaccinations.

🍬 ❤ Sweetheart 🍬 ❤

Sweetheart is a gorgeous Welsh yearling, full of character, currently standing at 12.2hh. Sweetheart will require a home used to the Welsh traits and youngsters, and she will benefit from having a calm and experienced handler to continue bringing out the best in her. She is an incredibly confident youngster, and is good to catch, lead and tie up. She enjoys a pamper and a fuss. Although she is generally good for the farrier, she will need consistent handling and the right guidance to continue working on this. Her mum stands at just under 14hh, and we do not know the height of the dad. She lives out 24/7 in a herd with other babies, who she loves to play with, so we would prefer her to go to a home with other youngsters around.

She is up to date with farrier and vaccinations.
