The woman who inspired the name of this brand ❤️

I was chatting to someone yesterday about Blas & Co and they thought it was clever the way I had played with my surname and turned it into my brand.

I love when people bring this topic up because it's an opportunity to talk about my mum ☺️ - I have a lot of respect and admiration for everything she has achieved and the resilience she has proven over the years.

The list is endless and I usually talk about how she has been self-employed much like the rest of her family but I'll share with you something else I really admire about her that I have never told you before... 🤭

My mum holds a PhD in Chemistry 🧪 - imagine being a woman in science in the 80s in Spain! - and not only that but she was heavily pregnant with me when she defended her thesis! She used to joke that because I was in her belly when she did it, that I somehow was one too... 😂

Mama Blasco came to visit us last month and it was great to spend time together. This picture was taken in one of our canal walks ☺️

One scoop or two? 😉

Ice cream vans like the ones from this print bring loads of memories of my childhood Summers ⛱️

We haven't been able to organise beach adventures during August - it's been too hot for the dogs 😐 - but I think the weather is going to be just perfect for them over the coming weeks 😌

Have you got any beach trips in the diary? 👀 We usually go to Ynyslas or Talacre beach but I would love to try somewhere new that is not very far away from us (we live near Oswestry, Shropshire).

For the first time in months, Cody's earsies felt cold when I went to greet him in the morning 🤭

And that can only mean one thing... T-shirt season is here!

Even though we are meant to hit 25° this week, the evenings definitely feel chilly. And as much as we have loved this eternal Sumner... We are ready for Autumn! 🍁 And I think you too! 😉

Have a look at your hound's wardrobe. Give it a wash if needed, check if they need anything fixing... Because before you know it, they will be asking for the t-shirts and coats!

I have a busy week ahead of us - orders for clothes have started to pick up the pace but also... I have some very special guests visiting later this week ❤️ which I feel is going to be the highlight of my Summer! More will be revealed soon 😁

Three years without my muse, and it still aches ❤️

We spent Mozzie's last few days mostly in the patio to make the potty trips as easy as possible, and because Mozzie loved sitting outdoors watching the world go by.

Dora made sure to get as much of Mozzie time as anyone 💌 She glued to him - as she usually did! - and tangled her limbs around her beloved brother. I think she sensed the end was coming.

If only Mozzie could comprehend how much he was - and is - loved, and how much he transformed our lives for the better ❤️

Missing my boy today and everyday. No matter how much time passes, I will carry the heartbreak with me forever. Because we don't stop loving them just because they leave us.

Sending love to anyone who is grieving. In grief with unite and celebrate the joy our beloved family members brought to our lives 💌
