Good morning everyone,

Just a quick note to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Hopefully your pods will be swaying from side to side tonight, happily drunk on lichen.

Armadillidium Nahumi, a really odd Armadillidium compared to many others!
While most Armadillidiums for us, are fairly prolific and active. These guys mimic an anti-social teenager, who’s complaining the Wi-Fi has stopped working.. rarely ever out and about!

Although that being said, when in higher numbers, they do roam a slight bit more!

Cubaris sp. “Wenshen Ducky” A beautifully coloured pod which came to me by accident. Unfortunately, only 2 survived the journey, but from a quick glance, do appear to be a 1:1 (Male:Female). So my fingers are strongly crossed they continue as I’d love to get these guys going! 🤞🏻

One of the old school ‘bumpy boys’, Armadillo Tuberculatus. Unfortunately, our luck with them recently has been awful.. just can’t get them going like we’re once did after a colony crash. Here’s hoping next year they find the energy again!

Meet an isopod with a name that is near impossible to say correctly while drunk.
Armadillidium Frontetriangulum “Orange”

We’re often asked for bright, multi-coloured Isopods that aren’t expensive but easy to keep at trading shows! When these are available, these are usually our recommendation when brought with us! Fairly hardy, easy breeders and essentially mini-carrots roaming an enclosure!

4 morphs of the infamous Hoffmansegii.. one of the most known isopods around due to its size! While they are a Porcellio, they can be a pain to get going for numerous reasons. However, based on our experience. Plenty of hiding spots and lichen! Somehow, both of them together become a love spell for them..

Porcellio Hoffmansegii, “Yeti”, “Chocolate” and “Orange”

A Europe first here, and I don’t often share these as they often get met with backlash..

An unknown Filipinodillo sp. (My suggestion of a name is Gold Dust)

Like the majority of the genus. The patterns do vary a lot but most do hold onto the same pattern which isn’t as common! Certainly one I am very happy to get to work with!

Another fun one! Filipinodillo sp. “Giant Banahao” -
also known as “Banahaw” or (Banana Hoe) as a friend says…

Such a unique pod, the patterns vary drastically! Some being all black, splattered or a full rusty colour! Then the size.. much bigger than you’d expect if you’ve never had the genus before!
