Hi there, I’m back from Spain and the salon is open once again from tomorrow morning.

I’ve spent the majority of today answering all of the messages I received while away. I think I have now got back to everyone, however, if you haven’t heard from me, it’s likely I didn’t receive your message, so please feel free to message me again or give me a nudge. I think I’ve now been able to accommodate everyone’s requests.

Just a gentle reminder about a few things. The following cancellations policy exists for clients cancelling with no more than 48 hours notice. I don’t like charging it, so please always give me as much notice as possible of any changes. Thankfully, due to the huge number of thoughtful clients I have, this is not something I have to imply very often.

Over 48 hours - no fee applicable
Between 48 to 24 hours - half the groom cost is applicable
Under 24 hours - the full groom cost will be charged

One last reminder. If you decide to take your dog to another groomer, for whatever reason, I will no longer take them here following their visit. I work incredibly hard to build strong bonds with the dogs I have here as they love their routines and we build a trust over time. It can be something as small as a visit elsewhere that can undo all the hard work put in to build that bond, so for this reason, as sad as it is for both myself and your dog, all subsequent appointments will be removed from my diary and your place offered to someone on my waiting list. Thank you for your understanding with this.

‼️ Wow, what a week it’s been! 🌞‼️

Thank you to everyone that came in at ridiculous o’clock in the morning the past three days, so I could make an early start and beat some of the heat. Both myself and your dogs were so grateful. Also, thank you to those of you who kindly moved their appointments forward too. You’re all amazing and all scheduled dogs were groomed as planned and happy to have much less hair!

Thankfully I’m now on annual leave for the next eleven days, heading to Spain with my husband and friends for a much needed break. At least I’m feeling well acclimatised already. 😂

The salon will reopen bright and early on Tuesday 7th July. All messages received between now and then will be responded to on my return.

Please take the greatest care of yourselves and your precious dogs in this extremely oppressive heat. Stay in the cool and keep well hydrated!

I’ll look forward to seeing you when home and hopefully things have cooled down a bit! 🙏🏻

We will certainly be able to find her a new home in no time at all. Please bear with us, as her owner is currently unwell and will need some time to look through the messages and offers of a home. 🐾 This little one is looking for a new home… Can you help? 🐾

Meet beautiful Canella. She’s a five year old Shih Tzu and due to a change in circumstance for her owner, he needs to rehome her and has asked for my help. Please be aware that this situation is through no fault of her own, she is calm and gentle with a wonderful temperament. I’ve been grooming her since she was a puppy.

Any change in home life for a dog of this age may come with a few little challenges, so she will need your time, love and patience while she settles into her new environment.

Another devastating loss today. Otto has passed away at the age of nine after being struck with lymphoma. 😭 I am mortified. 💔 He’s been coming here since he was twelve weeks old and my love for this beautiful stoic boy was infinite. I’m struggling to accept that I’ll never see his face again. The worst part of my job by far, my heart is broken. Huge condolences and love to his family who are struggling to come to terms with his passing.

Here he is as a beautiful spritely pup, always perfectly behaved, right from the start. I’ll miss you always…

Hi there, sorry for the lack of communication recently. I’ve not been feeling the love for social media and with the way the world is right now, I’ve been trying my very best to avoid spending time on my phone and scrolling through endless senseless rubbish. I’m sure you understand.

I just wanted to let you know, that as tomorrow is the beginning of April and we are soon to embark on the new financial year, there will be an annual price increase as of Wednesday the 1st. I will advise everyone individually of the increase as I see them. The increase will be relevant to all dog breeds but more significant to larger breeds at this time.

I appreciate in these times it is extremely difficult for everyone with the price rises in fuel and cost of living in general, but the rise’s effect businesses too.

Where your money goes:

*The Tax Man - 20%
*National Insurance - 9%
*Business Insurance
*Website and related costs
*Gas for heating copious amounts water and the salon
*Electricity, my driers use a lot! As well as charging equipment, sterilising, lighting, daily work laundry, etc
*Water rates
*Equipment, clippers, clipper blades, scissors, shampoos, disinfectant etc
*Equipment maintenance
*Continuous Personal Development

But most of all it’s for my experience of nearly a decade and my one to one care of your dogs. ❤️

Wow, what a week! It’s certainly been a shock to my system working such long hours with bad jet lag, so huge apologies if I’ve seemed a little vacant at times, the exhaustion truly set in by Wednesday evening, despite not being able to stay awake past 8pm any night this week. 🙈 Feeling a bit more human today after a lie in this morning. So hopefully my body clock is slowly returning to normality. 🙏🏻

While I was away I received the devastating news that one of my oldest and dearest clients needed to be put to sleep. This is always difficult news to take at any time, despite knowing the inevitable having seen her decline over the past year. 🥲

Dearest Pepsi had been coming to my salon for well over eight years, every four weeks. That’s a lot of visits! Now in this time we built a very special bond, so this news hit hard. I watched her change over the years from a very cheeky bubbly girl with a perfect coat, into a much more delicate older lady with lots of little ailments to address and work around. She never lost her cheekiness or her truly loving nature and we all loved her dearly.

I just wanted to pop this dedication to her up because she was trusted into my care for so many hours over the years and I’ll always cherish the time I got to spend with her and her gorgeous mummy too.
