I’ve been stuck in bed unwell the past few days and she hasn’t left my side. They just know don’t they… Love her beyond words…

Another devastating loss today. Otto has passed away at the age of nine after being struck with lymphoma. 😭 I am mortified. 💔 He’s been coming here since he was twelve weeks old and my love for this beautiful stoic boy was infinite. I’m struggling to accept that I’ll never see his face again. The worst part of my job by far, my heart is broken. Huge condolences and love to his family who are struggling to come to terms with his passing.

Here he is as a beautiful spritely pup, always perfectly behaved, right from the start. I’ll miss you always…

Hi there, sorry for the lack of communication recently. I’ve not been feeling the love for social media and with the way the world is right now, I’ve been trying my very best to avoid spending time on my phone and scrolling through endless senseless rubbish. I’m sure you understand.

I just wanted to let you know, that as tomorrow is the beginning of April and we are soon to embark on the new financial year, there will be an annual price increase as of Wednesday the 1st. I will advise everyone individually of the increase as I see them. The increase will be relevant to all dog breeds but more significant to larger breeds at this time.

I appreciate in these times it is extremely difficult for everyone with the price rises in fuel and cost of living in general, but the rise’s effect businesses too.

Where your money goes:

*The Tax Man - 20%
*National Insurance - 9%
*Business Insurance
*Website and related costs
*Gas for heating copious amounts water and the salon
*Electricity, my driers use a lot! As well as charging equipment, sterilising, lighting, daily work laundry, etc
*Water rates
*Equipment, clippers, clipper blades, scissors, shampoos, disinfectant etc
*Equipment maintenance
*Continuous Personal Development

But most of all it’s for my experience of nearly a decade and my one to one care of your dogs. ❤️

Wow, what a week! It’s certainly been a shock to my system working such long hours with bad jet lag, so huge apologies if I’ve seemed a little vacant at times, the exhaustion truly set in by Wednesday evening, despite not being able to stay awake past 8pm any night this week. 🙈 Feeling a bit more human today after a lie in this morning. So hopefully my body clock is slowly returning to normality. 🙏🏻

While I was away I received the devastating news that one of my oldest and dearest clients needed to be put to sleep. This is always difficult news to take at any time, despite knowing the inevitable having seen her decline over the past year. 🥲

Dearest Pepsi had been coming to my salon for well over eight years, every four weeks. That’s a lot of visits! Now in this time we built a very special bond, so this news hit hard. I watched her change over the years from a very cheeky bubbly girl with a perfect coat, into a much more delicate older lady with lots of little ailments to address and work around. She never lost her cheekiness or her truly loving nature and we all loved her dearly.

I just wanted to pop this dedication to her up because she was trusted into my care for so many hours over the years and I’ll always cherish the time I got to spend with her and her gorgeous mummy too.

Hi all, I hope you’re keeping happy and well? 🤗

Just a little note to let you know I’m finally home from the other side of the world and the salon reopens tomorrow bright and early. Looking forward to seeing you. 🐾

Seriously though, what’s with this weather? 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s been a hell of a shock to my system!!! Roll on spring time….. 🙏🏻🌞🌷

Tomorrow (Friday 16th January) is my final working day before I head off to Australia to spend some time with my daughter. She has lived there for the past three years, so I’m very much looking forward to spending some time with her.

I just wanted to make you aware of the following:

• I will at NO point be replying to any work related messages while away. They will all be looked at on my return to the salon.

• If you have any urgent questions, or changes to be made to appointment dates, please try and contact me before the end of day Friday.

• I am currently not taking on any new clients as my books are full to capacity. I will advertise on here should my books have an opening.

• The salon will reopen for business on Monday 16th February. All enquiries received while away will be responded to on or shortly after this date.

Thanks so much for your understanding everyone. I very much look forward to seeing you on my return.

So 2026 is finally here and as the salon reopened on the 2nd January, I’m already well and truly back into the swing of things here!

This year I’m going to try my best to be more like our canine friends, by loving unconditionally, forgiving quickly and always greeting each day with enthusiasm! At least I’ll try the best I can.

So that’s a wrap on 2025 for me! 🥳

Can someone please tell me where the year has gone? It seems to have vanished in a flash, but what a year it’s been! ❤️

Thank you once again for your longstanding loyalty, kind words and support in 2025. Also for your generosity this festive season in the form of gifts and tips. I’m extremely grateful to each and every one of you for the thought.

I’ve been busy cleaning the salon from top to bottom this evening, so it’s all ready for my first visitors of 2026. The salon will reopen on Friday 2nd January, bright and early.

My family and myself would like to wish you the happiest festive season and a fabulous New Year. I hope it’s a great one for you all. See you in 2026!!!

As the end of the year once again draws near, I always like to put out a little dedication to the dogs of clients, friends and family that have sadly passed away this year.

This year, it sadly includes three wonderful human clients that have also passed in 2025, two of which were taken way too soon, so we will start there and move on to my canine friends.

My heart goes out to the families missing their loved ones this festive season and I send much love and strength to you all. I will be thinking of you. ❤️
