🐢☀️ IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE FROM MANUEL TO TORTOISES ACROSS THE UNITED KINGDOM ☀️🐢

Attention fellow tortoises.

A bank holiday heatwave is approaching.

The warm weather begins TODAY, and by the weekend, humans will be distracted by barbecues, gardening, children running around, and “just one more drink” in the sunshine.

This means only one thing.

Prepare for your mighty escape.

Before attempting your mission, please ensure:
• You are fully hydrated
• You have eaten enough weeds for energy
• You have thermoregulated responsibly
• You have rested under bushes and shady plants
• Your human has supplied a large soaking tray for pre-escape spa treatment

Then… begin your preparations.

Inspect all fences carefully.
Monitor gates left slightly open.
Study weak points behind flowerpots.
Wait patiently until the humans are carrying burgers outside.

Remember:
The hotter it gets, the more powerful tortoises become.

Humans still think we are slow.
This is excellent news for us.

By Monday afternoon, thousands of Mediterranean tortoises could be exploring flowerbeds, patios, and housing estates across Britain while their owners crawl around the garden shouting:
“HE WAS JUST HERE FIVE MINUTES AGO.”

Stay cool.
Stay hydrated.
And move only when the humans aren’t looking 🐢💚

Its incredibly heartwarming to see Sydney grazing properly and being full interactive with her environment. Its thr final stage of her rehabilitation after very slowly transferring to a proper diet of mazuri, hay and mixed weeds. She came to us in quite a bad way, underweight, lethargic and pyramiding on her scoots. We dont have any history on her but assume she had a salad based diet with either insufficient UV or none at all. We are hoping there is as little damage to her internal organs as possible so she csn continue to inspire and educate people with Kayleigh at into the wild.

Well we have been busy over the last week or so with a full refurbishment at the back of the shop. We now have MORE purpose built holiday enclosure for your babies! The first one who is trying rhese out is blue :) a gorgeous little bearded dragon who is with us all inclusive for the next few days :)

On a slightly funnier note if you would like to enquire to see us your preowned enclosures we could really do woth this in cms, inches or feet :) we had an enquiry earlier which was measured at 8 SPONGES x 11 SPONGES 🤣🤣

Unfortunately we don't require that size in fish tanks but was worth an ask :)
