Meet Hugo – Our Youngest Team Member & Chief Cuddle Officer ❤️
Every team has someone who brings a little extra happiness, laughter and personality to the workplace, and here at Rednels, that person is Hugo!
Hugo is Shannon’s little boy, and although he might be the youngest member of the Rednels family, his love for dogs is certainly no smaller than anyone else’s.
For Hugo, growing up surrounded by dogs isn’t just part of everyday life – it’s all he’s ever known. 🐶
With 15 dogs of our own and a business dedicated entirely to canine care, Hugo has grown up in an environment where animals are a huge part of family life.
From a young age, he’s been surrounded by dogs of all different breeds, personalities and backgrounds, learning the importance of kindness, patience, compassion and respect for animals.
Rednels isn’t just Mummy’s business – it’s a huge part of Hugo’s childhood.
If you’ve visited Rednels before, there’s a good chance you’ve already met Hugo! He’s often on hand at the gate, ready to greet our clients with a big smile and a warm welcome.
He absolutely loves being part of the daily hustle and bustle, saying hello to familiar faces and helping make everyone feel welcome when they arrive.
For Hugo, welcoming clients to Rednels is something he genuinely enjoys, and his cheerful personality brings a lovely sense of warmth and family to our business.
While the grown-ups take care of the important responsibilities, Hugo brings something equally special to our little team: endless enthusiasm, a love for our four-legged friends and plenty of smiles.
Being raised around dogs gives Hugo the opportunity to learn that caring for animals is about so much more than cuddles and playtime. It’s about understanding their feelings, respecting their boundaries and recognising that every dog deserves to feel safe, happy and loved.
And as his mum, there’s something incredibly special about being able to share my passion and life’s work with my little boy.
One of the things I’m most proud of is that Hugo is growing up seeing firsthand the love, dedication and hard work that goes into caring for animals.
I hope that, whatever path he chooses in life, he carries those values of compassion, kindness and responsibility with him.
At Rednels, we are incredibly proud to be a family-run business, and Hugo is a very special part of that family.
He reminds us that behind all the hard work, early mornings and long days, there is something truly wonderful about building a life around what you love.
