Pippin has Osteoarthritis and after she somehow got herself up onto the fence she then hesitated and started to be vocal. I went over and offered up my arm so she could climb onto my shoulder she instantly did.
Pippin’s hesitancy to get back down is not unusual for cats experiencing chronic pain. Cats are so good at disguising pain filming your cat’s movement is a great way to monitor changes in how they get to their favourite places.
These videos are great to show your vet so they can assess their movement and mobility. 😻

Cat rescues across the UK are under more pressure than ever.

Most are operating at full capacity, with limited resources and an endless stream of cats needing help. Most are run by dedicated volunteers who give up their time, energy and often their own money to care for cats in need.

But one of the biggest challenges isn't just caring for cats.

It's helping people find them.

If cats aren't seen, they can't be adopted.

Advertising costs money. Attending events costs money. Even with heavily subsidised spaces, many smaller rescues simply can't afford opportunities that could put them in front of thousands of potential adopters.

That's something we want to change.

This Thursday, we'll be launching a brand new initiative designed to help make a real difference for cat rescues and the cats in their care.
