You 🤝 yellow

Our Italian Greyhounds love the sun. The rain, quite the opposite. So I thought, why not make their raincoats a sunny yellow?

And seeing yours out in the wild never fails to brighten my day.

Because we’ll be milking these summery nights until the very end.

The Brigitte is here.

Their own little Breton. A striped crop with a classic postbox red trim. One for plans that go on past sundown in summer, or trips to the coast when our Italian Greyhounds are the first to feel the breeze, but it’s not quite jumper weather.

We have just a few metres of this fabric, so The Brigitte is a very small run, and after the newsletter crew had first dibs earlier, we now have limited numbers left in sizes.

Thank you if you’ve ordered already. Honestly, it will never get old seeing you love a design we’ve been working on for quite some time.

The Brigitte is now live on our shop through link in bio 🌊

Making The Brigitte ended up being full of firsts, and here are a few design decisions that took it somewhere quite different from our usual pieces…

In my opinion, it’s hard to go wrong with a stripe. It’s one of those staples most of us already have in our own wardrobes, and I loved the idea of bringing the same to our Italian Greyhounds’ too.

We’ve never used a contrast binding before, but blue-and-white stripes called for this postbox red.

We already had one of our own sleeveless patterns as a starting point, but working with this lighter-weight, stretchy cotton jersey meant it wasn’t a case of simply changing the fabric. A bit of sampling and tweaking was needed to get the fit and shape we wanted.

I’d always liked the idea of trying a crop cut, and I know some Italian Greyhounds simply prefer less coverage down the back, so this felt like the perfect piece to try a shorter cut for summer.

We have just a few metres of this fabric, so The Brigitte will be a very small run.

We’re making just a small run of this design. If you’re signed up to our newsletter, you’ll get first access from 12pm, one hour before it goes live to all 🌊
