Just a reminder that we are CLOSED this week (Monday 13th - Sunday 19th July) as I continue to recover from surgery, Ellen has a well earned break and Zoe celebrates her graduation!

"I" have made the most of an empty centre to undertake some essential maintenance. When I say I... I barked orders at my poor, long suffering fiancé from my crutches 🤣 Big thanks to him for always being so hard working and patient with me! He has scrubbed the water treadmill to within an inch of its life and it, and it's new water, is GLEAMING! ✨ Makes me so happy!

We're also expecting a very exciting delivery, the details of which I CANNOT wait to share with you all! 🤩💧

📅 We will be back in the office on Monday 20th July where we will endeavour to get back to all requests as soon as possible.

🇪🇸 So! I (Roisin) have headed out to Spain for a few days and am now sat feeling a bit concerned for the welfare of clients back in the UK heat!

❄️ The centre has really good air conditioning, so I'm confident that it may well be one of the coolest places for you to be, so for now I won't cancel any appointments but I will keep in touch with Ellen to continually review.

BUT!

🐕 All dogs handle the heat differently and may struggle due to age, breed, medical conditions etc. Whilst the water and air conditioned unit can help keep them cool, if your dog is already finding the heat itself difficult to cope with, please let us know and we can look at altering/shortening/rearranging a session as appropriate for their individual needs.

🚗 Please be mindful of how your dog will be with the journey - if you don't have air conditioning in the car, please carefully consider if the journey is going to make them too hot?

⌚ Please don't arrive too early, if you do, please keep the air conditioning running in your car to keep your dog cool.

🍶Remember to continually offer lots of water to keep everyone hydrated!

☕ Next door sell iced coffees! Your dog is allowed in, so please don't leave them in the car! Please move your car across the road if you plan on sitting in the cafe to drink your drink rather than just popping in for a takeaway ☺️

⭐ We're super excited (although slightly worried for our waist lines) to welcome our new neighbours at The Lambing Shed Café next door!! Hannah and co have worked SO hard transforming the unit into a stunning cafe, please do pop in and show them your support 😁 (the kinder Bueno blondies are very highly recommended!!!)

A few housekeeping notes, moving forwards:

🚗 Please could we ask that all clients park considerately in front of the centre, we should have space for up to four vehicles. Please do not park directly in front of the café, including the parking space immediately to the left of their green door, to ensure their disabled customers can can access the premises easily.

☕ If you would like to pop into the cafe for lunch or to sit and have a sweet treat, it would be really helpful if you could move your car to their car park across the road so that our spaces are kept free for the next client/s arriving at the centre.

💩 We'd really appreciate your help in keeping the area around the centre clean and pleasant for everyone. If your dog needs a toilet break before your session, there is a green space directly across the road, as well as several suitable footpaths and walking areas nearby. Please remember to bag your dog's poo and take it home for disposal, and pretty please don't let your dogs toilet in the centre itself... 🙏🏼

The cooperative care workshop run by Eleanor Rose Dog Training will likely be super helpful if your dog ever needs our help but needs some extra support feeling confident receiving it.

We're so lucky that our unit stays quite cool! But with the current heatwave, we've taken some additional steps to keep your dog safe for their appointment:

❄️ Air con is on in the treatment rooms
💧 Hydro water temperature has been reduced slightly (but remains within therapeutic range)
🍶 Water bowls around the centre - please offer your dog plenty of opportunities to drink
🚪The shutter doors may be kept low to prevent the sun beaming in through the windows and heating up the therapy space as the sun moves overhead in the afternoon
