As a rather naïve collector and aficionado of large-scale visual art, I’m always fascinated by artists who have that rare ability to capture the true spirit and character of their subject.

I know paintings by John McLeod, whom I’ve always affectionately thought of as “the cow painter”, for his remarkable portrayals of cattle.

Now I find myself equally captivated by the work of Madeleine Bunbury, who, to me, is quite simply “the horse painter.”

For anyone who loves horses, or simply appreciates remarkable artistic talent, Madeleine Bunbury’s work is truly… “Shenley Equestrian ‘Above & Beyond’.

Green makes the difference.

When Green comes to the rescue, the horses know.
There’s something about the sight of that John Deere coming across the field that brings everyone running. They know exactly what Green means: food is on the way.
But perhaps it means something else too.
A change of season is long overdue. Green is growth, renewal, fresh beginnings and life. It puts a spring in the step and, judging by these faces, makes everyone rather happy and healthy too.
We’ve had more than enough Brown to last a lifetime.
Move over Brown. It’s time for Green to make its mark. 💚
