When you’re dog sitting for these two lovelies and another one of the HH Gang lives nextdoor and wants a chat 🤣🐾🐾❤️

Ten years of dog walking with Hutcliffe Hounds — what a journey it’s been!

I just want to say thank you to all the owners who have trusted me to look after their beloved pets. I’m so grateful to be able to help with their care.

I've got to know so many lovely dogs over the years, from those first walks to miles and miles of woodland paths, muddy fields, wagging tails and happy faces. Every day has been full of fab adventures and great memories - and lots and lots of steps, whatever the weather!

Many of the dogs who came along 10 years ago are still with me, although sadly a few are no longer around - but every one of them holds a special place in the story of Hutcliffe Hounds.

So cheers to 10 fantastic years — and to many more walks, adventures and waggy tails to come!

A big thankyou to all my clients for bearing with me and being so understanding about me cancelling walks while we’ve had this crazy heatwave.

It’s been far too hot for dogs to be out walking and their safety and comfort has to come first.

Hopefully back to normal walking times and routes next week as it’s turning a little cooler.

Have a lovely weekend ❤️🐾🐾

Good advice from our local vet to help your pets through the hot weather this summer.

☀️ With the next few days set to be a scorcher, please keep a close eye on your pets!

Whilst we may enjoy soaking up the sunshine, hot weather can quickly become dangerous and even life-threatening for our furry friends 🐾

Pets can overheat far quicker than we do, especially flat-faced breeds, older pets, overweight pets, and those with underlying health conditions.

🌡️ Top tips to help keep them safe:
💧 Make sure fresh water is always available
🏡 Keep pets in cool, shaded areas
🚶‍♀️ Walk dogs early morning or later in the evening
🚫 Never leave pets in cars , even for a few minutes
🔥 Avoid hot pavements that can burn paws
🧊 Cooling mats, frozen treats, and paddling pools can help keep them comfortable

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke can include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy
• Vomiting
• Collapse

If you are worried your pet may be struggling in the heat, please contact us on 0114 2363391

Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy the sunshine responsibly ☀️🐶🐱

Happy Friday everyone, what a fab week we’ve had. The rain finally stopped and the sun came out to play, giving us a sneaky peak of what’s to come 😎

Getting in on this new craze! Looks nothing like me, but thought I’d share it anyway 😆

Dog First Aid refresher training completed today, so that’s me covered for another three years.
Fingers (& paws) crossed I won’t need it, but I’ll be ready to keep your pups safe and sound if any medical emergencies happen while we’re out and about.
Thanks to Jane at Dog First Aid South Yorkshire for another great course, I’ve learnt a few new things today as guidelines from vets have changed recently. 🐾🐾❤️
