Please help us save Flossie 🙏💔

This sweet girl is having a pyometra and has been for a week. We agreed to take her last week but owners decided to take her home without the surgery she needed and not to hand over. She is now extremely poorly and has been signed over to us and going in for surgery today. It is high risk as pyometra is a womb infection that is very serious and dogs do die from this as the puss weeps into the body and causes sepsis. This is why we harp on about spaying your dog.

We have just had a £10,000 vet bill we are trying to find the money for and this will be atleast £2,000, probably more. We have to find a way to raise this for her to try to save her life.

She deserves a chance and the vets didn't want to euthanise her. We cant do this without your help. Please please any amount means the world and is a huge help 🙏🐕❤️

⚠️ DOG OWNERS IN / AROUND MELTHAM ⚠️

There have now been repeated reports of piles of sausages found around the Deer Hill area, suspected to be laced/stuffed with slug pellets or another toxic substance.

Several dogs have reportedly been hospitalised after walks in the area.

Please keep dogs on leads, stay vigilant, and watch closely for anything they may try to eat while out walking.

If you spot anything suspicious:
• Do not touch with bare hands
• Keep other walkers and dogs away
• Report it to the police and local council

• If your dog may have eaten something, contact a vet immediately

We have our staff first aid course booked for January 19 and we may have some extra spaces available. This course is a full day course and cost £55 per person. I’m just putting feelers out to see if anyone would be interested in joining us if the space has become available.
