Routine vaccinations don’t just protect your dog , they could save their life. 🐾

Vaccinations help protect against serious, highly contagious diseases that can be costly to treat and, in some cases, fatal. Keeping your dog’s vaccinations up to date is one of the simplest ways to help them stay happy, healthy, and protected.

To maintain this protection, dogs require regular booster vaccinations throughout their lives.

🎉 Missed a vaccine or fallen behind?
Don’t worry, from 1st June until 31st July, we’re running a Vaccination Amnesty.

If your dog’s vaccinations are overdue, you can restart their vaccinations for the same price as a booster vaccine, helping you get them back on track without the additional cost.

📞 Contact the practice today to book an appointment and take advantage of this limited-time offer.

☀DON'T LEAVE YOUR DOG IN A HOT CAR!☀🛻

Even on what feels like a mild day, the temperature inside a car ca soar in minutes. A cracked window or a "quick" trip to the shops is NOT ENOUGH to keep your dog safe!

Heatstroke can develop rapidly and can be fatal

🐾lethargy and or weakness
🐾vomiting

Wet then vet- this is how you deal with a dog suffering from heatstroke.
Quickly wet the dog with cool water around 15 degrees (not freezing cold). If not available, any water that is cooler than the dog’s skin feels.
Cool water, around 15°C, is ideal, but any water will help.
Wetting the dog will promote cooling through evaporation.
Do this before taking them to the vet but don't spend too much time on it.
Afterward, contact the vet and inform them about the situation and how long it will take you to arrive. This allows our vet team to prepare for your dog's arrival and increases their chances of receiving prompt treatment.
Avoid using wet towels on the dog as they can trap heat. However, specialised cooling vests that function through evaporation are suitable.

Sometimes it’s overlooked and easy to miss, especially when it’s hidden under all that fur! 🐾

Skin issues aren’t always obvious, but some subtle signs to watch for include 👀
• Darkened, pink, or reddened skin
• Thickened or “tough” feeling areas
• Pink/brown staining on the fur (often on the feet from saliva)
• Bald patches or thinning hair
• Rashes or sore spots

These little changes can be your pet’s way of telling you something isn’t quite right.

If you’re ever unsure or have concerns about your pet’s skin, it’s always best to get them checked 💛

We’re here to help keep them comfortable, happy, and itch-free!
