Bashful has recently recovered from Feline Panleukopenia (Parvovirus), a devastating disease that sadly claims the lives of many cats and kittens. She is incredibly fortunate to have survived.

This is an important reminder to ensure your cats and kittens are vaccinated. If they are over 9 weeks old and have not received a booster vaccination within the last 12 months, please speak to your veterinarian about protecting them against this deadly virus.

Bashful's life was saved thanks to Save a Stray Cat Rescue, which covered the cost of her treatment and care. Please keep an eye out for our next Facebook post and consider supporting the rescue so they can continue helping vulnerable cats and kittens like Bashful get the second chance they deserve.

A few months ago, Jed the rabbit suffered a badly fractured leg and urgently needed treatment. We reached out for help, and David came to our rescue, expertly repairing the injury. Thanks to his care and skill, Jed has made a full recovery and is now happily back outside, enjoying time in the garden once again.

Lola does not look very impressed! Her owners called at 1:00pm today to say that she was panting and unable to move. They were advised to pour cold water over her and bring her to the practice as quickly as possible.

On arrival, Lola was admitted as she was suffering from heat stroke and had a significantly elevated temperature. We immediately began cooling measures, showering her with cold water until her temperature returned to normal.

Lola had not been out for a walk but had been indoors, where the temperature was around 26°C. After four hours at the practice receiving treatment and monitoring, she was well enough to return home.

Lola now has three fans keeping her cool and will be enjoying several cold showers each day — whether she approves of them or not!
