Sometimes running a small business looks really cute on Instagram… and sometimes it looks like answering customer messages on your lunch break, packing orders at midnight, forgetting to reply to texts, surviving on caffeine and vibes, and wondering if your brain has 47 tabs open at all times. Sometimes instead of face it it’s easier to go into hiding for a few weeks to get your head sorted and feel revitalised.
Truthfully, life has been a bit heavy lately. Juggling a full time job alongside The Yorkshire Dog, health stuff, family stuff, trying to keep up with life in general… it’s been a lot. I think a lot of small business owners quietly carry that pressure whilst still trying to show up online like everything’s perfectly polished all the time.
And if I’m honest, I’ve probably spent too much time overthinking every post instead of just showing up as me.
But this little business still means the world to me. Every order, every tag, every lovely message, every dog wearing our pieces — it genuinely keeps me going more than you know.
So here’s your reminder that behind every small biz is usually just a tired human trying their best… and hopefully finding their spark again somewhere along the way.
Anyway… enough of the emotional TED Talk. Here’s the beautiful Lola in our dreamy Dragons collection staring judgmentally into the distance channelling my inner thoughts.
