Payment
payment can be made by cash, transfer or Paypal. A deposit of £20 per dog is required at time of booking. This can be done via PayPal or bank transfer. The balance must then be made at drop off or collection of your dog. Cancellation
I require at least 48 hours notice of cancellation and we can reschedule. This allows me time to offer the appointment to someone else. Any cancellation made after this point will result in the loss of your deposit. Lateness
If you are running late for your appointment please contact me as soon as you can. We might have to reschedule if it is more than 10-15 minutes as I may not have time to complete the groom. I know that things happen so you will have 20 minutes after the collection time to collect your dog if you are running late. After this time you will be charged £10 and a further £10 for every 30 minutes. I may also have to separate your dog as not all my clients are dog friendly. This means putting your dog in my home so you will be charged for any damage caused by your dog if this happens. Pet health
To give your dog the best care possible I require you to inform me of any pre-existing or new health issues with your dog so I can adjust or make your dog as comfortable as possible. The dog house reserves the right to refuse service for certain health issues such as open wounds. If you think your dog may be pregnant or is in season you must let me know as I do not groom these for their comfort and welfare. If you arrive at the salon and haven’t told me In advance I will not groom and you will lose your deposit. Parasites
please treat your dog 48 hours prior to their appointment. I may refuse to groom if I find fleas on arrival and if I have already started the groom then I will treat them with flea shampoo and charge £10 for the time and disinfection of the salon. Matting
please brush your dog between grooms and for longer coats regular appointments are required. (I can advise) I will always act in the best interest of your dog so If your dogs coat is overly matted I will not put them through the discomfort of trying to brush it out so will clip the coat short and you will be charged an extra £10 for the extra time taken. The dog house will not accept responsibility for any vet fees for any health issues (such as skin sores) exposed when clipping off a matted coat. Vet care
I will always endeavour to provide the best care for your pet however in the rare case of an accident the pet owner agrees for The dog house to transport the dog to the nearest vet for treatment of required and the pet owner agrees to pay any and all extra fees that are not covered by my insurance. Slander
under the malicious communications act 1998 section 1 The dog house will not accept or tolerate any slander, malicious falsehood or defamation via social media outlets relating to a groom due to coats not being maintained at home (matted coats)
