🍂Hello Autumn… we've been waiting for you.
We enjoyed a beautiful Sea Moor Paws 'Local Green Walk' today at one of our favourites... Longtimber Woods.
I have to admit, I get a little excited when Summer starts to fade. I’m an Autumn girl through and through. Give me cosy, a little hygge, rain on the leaves and sunshine peeking through the trees and I’m very happy indeed.
And there’s something about watching rain and sunlight fall through the trees above you that makes me stop every time.
Just for a moment, the world stops.
Just standing there, listening to the river, the rain and watching nature do its thing.
After the dry, stifling days of Summer, it was lovely to see the woods coming alive again.
The river was flowing faster, leaves were beginning to tumble around us… and the dogs?
Well… they were doing their very best impression of Bambi, slipping across the rocks, legs disappearing in various directions...
Today, I simply let the doggies lead.
No set route. No destination in mind.
Their noses chose the path.
For Sea Moor Paws, the very best walks aren't always about how far we go and burning energy.
Sometimes they're about slowing down enough to notice what's happening around you.
And today, Longtimber Woods gave us plenty to notice.
