Poppy was just the sweetest angel today. During grooming a worrying small mass was found. Keep her in your hopes that this was caught in time. Us groomers go over every inch of your pet and are often the first to notice changes. She is very loved and I'm hopeful for a happy update in time x

Coco is getting older, she has very little interest in being groomed though she still demands to be first on the table. After her initial cut, she demands a toy, that quite frankly, will be marked for sacrifice 🤣

Why do grooms sometimes take longer than expected...
We cannot predict what condition the dog is coming in in. That's why groomers prefer scheduled grooms, every x amount of weeks. We have no way of knowing how that dog will react or behave or feel and this changes with time, etc. if a dog is super anxious/aggressive etc, they will have more time spent on them, sometimes with both myself and my helper working hard to get them through, comfortable and home if they aren't coping as well as hoped. I personally check over the dogs 3 times each to make sure they look as good as I can possibly get them. We have phone calls, hunger, boarding or grooming dogs coming and going, laundry, wee unexpected clean ups... If your dog is super chill. They will get less priority than the stressed dog and unless you are in a rush, this has proven wonderful in our grooming days to make sure every dog has the best experience possible and also leaves as relaxed, clean and adorable as possible. And I also love my chats with you guys, catching up on anything I may need to know about the dog and what's going on or just having a 10 min blether.
If you work with children or animals, I think being on schedule is a pipe dream, let me know if you agree x
I will never be the fastest groomer, I will always want to give cuddles and take the time to do my job well and as perfectly as I can while enjoying it. It turn out when you are happy and singing/dancing/laughing at work, the dogs benefit too and that is how I'd love for things to stay. If your groomer takes longer than you think, please just keep in mind that they have loads on, but are also taking care of your dog, and themselves x

Thank you so much for keeping me so busy but please do get in touch a few weeks prior to needing an appointment as it may be 2-3 weeks before I can fit you in. If you are on a schedule, you are good though will try to hand out a future appointment on the day they are groomed. Thank you x
