Level 3 Higher Distinction in Horse Care A (not so) short introduction ......... My name is Jo and I've owned/loved pets for as long as I can remember. You name it, I've had one (or maybe 2 or 3 ....) dogs, horses, goats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, fish!!!Horses - have been in my blood since I got my
first pony at the age of 10! Since then I've had every type/breed imaginable ...... from naughty kids ponies, to hormonal mares and progesterone fuelled stallions. I'm now more than happy with my 14.2hh, leg in each corner, Welsh Cob X, gelding.I've worked on producers yards, stud farms, livery yards and riding schools. I'm passionate, confident, experienced and reliable and will treat every equine client as my own. I have very high "house keeping" standards and an acute awareness of bio-security. I have various equine qualifications (certificates in relevant album) including Level 3 Horse Care and Equine First Aid, and am continuously furthering my portfolio with ongoing courses.Dogs - again, I can't remember a time when I haven't had a dog and strongly believe that a house is not a home without one. I've had all sorts of breeds over the years ranging from Jack Russels to Spaniels and from Staffordshire Bulls to Bull Mastiffs. I've also done a small amount of volunteering at various rescue centres.I'm experienced, compassionate, patient and confident around all breeds. All dogs will be cared for and looked after as if they were my own. My background is in retail management - 7 years as Deputy Manager at Pets at Home, followed by 4 years as Store Manager at Robinsons Equestrian. Within these roles I gained various qualifications, both external and in-house. The certificates I can find can be viewed in the relevant album. Also hold a Puppies and Dogs 1st aid certificate.
