Hi everyone,
I’m writing to let you know about an important change to Big Pooch Little Pooch.
After a lot of thought, I have made the incredibly difficult decision to stop dog walking. Over the past six months, I have really struggled with my health, and unfortunately my allergies have continued to increase in both frequency and severity. As a result, this has now become a medical necessity, which is also why the transition needs to happen relatively quickly.
This is not a decision I have made lightly, and I am incredibly saddened to be hanging up my dog leads. I have loved every minute of getting to know your dogs, watching their personalities develop and becoming part of their lives. I will genuinely miss them all enormously. ❤️
However, I’m very pleased to be able to tell you that Big Pooch Little Pooch will be transitioning to Penrose’s Paws , who I have worked alongside for the past year or so.
Adam and his team are qualified, experienced and incredibly reliable. Many of you will already know them, as they currently walk some of your dogs at weekends and have also provided holiday and sickness cover for me.
Over the next few weeks, Adam will be joining me on walks so that he can get to know your dogs, their personalities, routines and individual needs. He will also be keen to arrange a meet and greet with you, so that you can get to know him and feel confident that the high standard of care you have come to expect will continue.
Our hope is that this will be as smooth and stress-free a transition as possible for your dogs. I have a huge amount of faith in Adam and his team, particularly because we share such a similar ethos when it comes to the care, happiness and wellbeing of the dogs in our care.
One of the biggest advantages of moving over to Penrose Paws is the continuity of care they can provide. Unlike a one-person operation such as Big Pooch Little Pooch, they have a team of familiar pet carers who can provide holiday and sickness cover internally. This means your dogs can continue to be cared for by people they already know and trust, which I feel is a huge benefit.
I’m incredibly grateful to every one of you for your loyalty, patience and support, particularly over the past six months while I have been struggling with my health. Your understanding has meant more to me than I can put into words.
Although I’ll be very sad to stop walking your dogs, I’m reassured knowing that they are going to be in such capable and caring hands. I also hope that I’ll still see plenty of familiar faces out and about while I’m walking my own doggos! 🐾
