Are you finding yourself with a pesky rodent problem at this time of year?? 🐁 🐀
You're not alone and the perfect solution is here!
Our working cats, also known as barn Buddies or mousing mates, can be an excellent solution - natural pest control without needing to use chemical poisons that can also harm wildlife and the environment.
Available in pairs or singles, these kitties come desexed and microchipped, up to date with flea and worm treatment.
They are cats who aren't so social with humans and prefer to live at arm's length - not the sort to be cuddling on your bed at night, that's for sure!
They're available to adopt for free/by donation.
You'll need a secure pen/crate/space to lock them up in at first, so they can get used to your environment. (We can lend you something suitable if needed).
You'll still need to supply regular meals in addition to the rats and mice they'll be eating, plus if you ever notice that they're sick or injured you'll need to be willing to catch them to ensure they're not in distress or suffering.
Other than that, they will be likely to be self-sufficient and easy to care for.
There's much evidence of very successful placements of these types of kitties in the past and of course, it has the added benefit of offering a fresh chance in life to cats who otherwise struggle to be adopted.
An example of a pair available right now is mum cat Jazzy, approx 18 months old and her son Jacob, around 7 months.
They're a food-motivated pair who will have no trouble sorting out any rodents they come across.
Jazzy is very wary and independent while Jacob is a very inquisitive little chap with lots of potential to become quite social with his human caregivers over time.
