Nothing makes me smile quite like when the human is totally oblivious to where the trail layer is hiding! Their dog takes them to a completely new area, and the human just trusts their dog completely to lead the way.

Just like the wonderful Skye, who was indeed absolutely right! 🐾🧡

🗣️Recall is something I have always invested in with Alfs.

Having a solid recall helps me meet his needs perfectly. Even at 13 years old, he is still one of life’s true explorers! I absolutely love watching him do that exploring, but always with the wonderful reassurance that I can recall him at any given point.

What is funny is that when I first realised Alfs was an explorer and our recall was not working, I was actually told to give up because he is a spaniel cross who would never have a reliable recall. Goodness, I am incredibly glad I did not listen! Alfs proves every single day how untrue that advice was, and we have had so many lovely adventures together all thanks to that recall. 🥹🧡

Franco is wondering exactly which way the Scentventure stations are! 🤔

Well, the good news is that Scentventure stations are actually in every direction. Once you know how to spot them, you absolutely cannot unsee them! 🧡

We always need a little breather after a Dexter trail! 🤣 But of course, there are lots of smiles too at just how incredibly clever Dexter is. 🥹🧡

Does anyone else ever think the humans need their own treat pot, or maybe a nice cold glass of fizz for all their hard work? After all, Mantrailing is very much a game of teamwork! 🤣🥂

🥳The absolutely adorable Reaper came to her Introduction to Mantrailing with Ellie today! 🥳

Reaper is such a bundle of energy, and it was fantastic seeing her use all of that energy to solve her trails, which she completely smashed. And whilst she might look like she is all ears 🤣, she has also got a fantastic nose!

A massive welcome, Team Reaper! We are really looking forward to sharing many more trails with you.🐾🧡

What a brilliant way to spend a Saturday! We welcomed three brand new Scentventure superstars today with Storm, Truffles and Cooper. We also had the lovely Max and Franco returning for more fun!

I absolutely cannot wait to tell you all about what we have been up to. For now, here is a little teaser! 🤫🐾

So what exactly does a Scentventure Guide do on her day off? She goes on a Scentventure with Alfs! 🤣 Me and Alfs absolutely loved it and we both feel so charged up.

My absolute favourite part was watching him search for his brand new odour that I only introduced to him this week, and successfully finding it out in the woods. 🥹🧡

While Alfs was having a well earned rest at home, I treated myself to a lovely run in the beautiful autumn sun.🏃‍♀️

I cannot wait for more Scentventuring tomorrow at , where I have both familiar and brand new faces joining me. See you tomorrow folks! 🐾

👃Here is to our amazing Mantrailing decoys! They spend their time hiding but get absolutely none of the fun perks of giving the dog their reward.

It is so important that dogs do not associate our decoys with the good stuff, so finding them has to be a completely boring experience. This perfectly helps our dogs understand that they are not just looking for any random person. They are looking for the specific person who left the scent article, because that is the person who has their reward! 🐾

So whilst you do not get to give the reward to the dogs, please know that you are helping them so much on their Mantrailing journey and making the whole game even more fun!

And of course, you can absolutely grab all the cuddles after the trail is finished! 😆🐾

Me and Alfs got stuck into some Gundog training this afternoon. There is just something so beautiful about training amongst all the autumn leaves. 🥹🍁

Gundog training is not about teaching your dog that they have to return their dummy to you. It is actually about building motivation so that they want to! When they find and pick up their dummy, their automatic thought should be that they absolutely cannot wait to bring it straight back to you! 🐾

🌛What a fun evening class! The dark nights are well and truly back, which is actually incredibly exciting. It means we can start working in the dark to introduce a brand new challenge that builds confidence and search skills!👃
