☀️🐾 A Little Update About Grooming During Hot Weather 🐾☀️
Many of you will know that I’m a bit obsessed with making sure every dog is as safe and comfortable as possible while they’re with me. ❤️
My grooming cabin is fully air conditioned, but during very hot weather it’s not just the temperature inside the cabin that matters. Dogs can arrive already warm from travelling, and even popping outside for their usual toilet break or a little rest in the shade can raise their body temperature. Some dogs, particularly older, anxious, young or thick-coated dogs, can also find the grooming process itself more tiring in the heat.
For that reason, there may be times when I need to adapt, shorten, rearrange or postpone appointments. These decisions are never about convenience—they are always made with your dog’s welfare as my absolute priority.
I monitor the weather and conditions day by day, rather than relying solely on the forecast. As we all know, the weather can change quickly, and forecasts aren’t always accurate. While I will always try to give as much notice as possible if I need to make changes to your appointment, there may be occasions when I have to make a last-minute decision to ensure your dog’s safety and comfort.
Behind the scenes I’m constantly monitoring the cabin temperature, keeping the air conditioning running, giving extra breaks where needed, and adjusting my diary when the weather demands it.
