Last lesson we covered recall with the pups! We worked at varying distances and even used tents to hide... but somehow the pups kept on finding us! 😜

I have been a little quiet on social media recently with it being the school holidays, but come September I'm sure I'll be back to posting more! ☺️ In the meantime - here is a little example of something that makes my life worthwhile.

What was in last Saturday's 'Mystery Box'..? 🤔 Drum roll please.....🥁🥁🥁... Treibball ! 😁 The pups and their humans learnt lots of important lessons and behaviours (much more than just how to get their pup to push a ball!) such as:
⚽ The importance of a well placed marker and cue sound,
⚽ The benefit of patience,
⚽ How to inspire errorless learning,
⚽ How to use the environment to aid learning,
⚽ Social Learning Theory,
⚽ Fading the lure,
⚽ The Engage/Disengage method,
⚽ Confidence Building,
⚽ Socialisation,
⚽ Training around distractions,
and more! Some of the pups moved on to building engagement with their owner - deliberately pushing the ball in their owner's direction! Well done pups!

Skye's mam and dad ~ Michelle and Dave ~ got married today! 💒 Congratulations! 👏🎉 I had the honour of looking after Skye on their special day. 🥹 We had a wonderful time and I absolutely could not resist turning Skye into a bridesmaid! (First photo is AI, second is the original.)

{Side note - Skye has been working on her dog reactivity and I was blown away with how brilliant she behaved today, not one growl or reaction, and we passed around 20 dogs over the course of the day as it was Seaham Food Festival and they live near the front! Honestly, I was very impressed - well done gorgeous girl.}
