WHAT A DAY AT SCROPTON!

Yesterday we had the absolute pleasure of hosting the RDA Special Olympics here at Scropton Horse Centre – and what an incredible day it was!

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was fantastic, and most importantly, our amazing riders and participants absolutely shone.

Every rider who took part should be incredibly proud of what they achieved. From the confidence to step into the arena, to demonstrating their riding skills, focus and determination, yesterday was about so much more than competition. It was about celebrating ability, achievement, independence and the incredible connection between horse and rider.

A huge congratulations to every single participant – you were the stars of the day.

A very special thank you must also go to all the families, friends and carers who came along to cheer, encourage and support our riders. Having you there makes these occasions even more special.

And finally, an enormous THANK YOU to our staff and wonderful volunteers.

Days like yesterday simply don't happen without you. From preparing horses and arenas to supporting riders, organising, stewarding and tackling the countless jobs behind the scenes – your time, energy and enthusiasm helped make the day what it was.

We couldn't do it without our volunteers, and yesterday was a brilliant reminder of just how important you are to the Scropton community.

* Great weather
* Wonderful horses
* Fantastic achievements
* Incredible support
* One very special Scropton day

Congratulations to everyone involved we hope you're all feeling as proud as we are!

Congratulations to Scropton RDA rider Teri who was Grade 6 Class Champion at the BD Summer Para Dressage Championships back in August.

We’re a bit late posting a photo, but BD didn’t have the sashes ready to present at the event itself & sent them on after. This is the first time Teri, Scrappy and the sash have all been together for a photo shoot.

A brilliant result for a fantastic combination 🐴🏆🐴

What a great day at the races! Huge thanks to the volunteer team collecting on our behalf at Uttoxeter Racecourse. Not only did they get to present the prize to the winner of the “Scropton Riding For The Disabled Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle” and judge the best turned out horse, but they also raised over £260 for Scropton RDA - well done!
Many thanks to Uttoxeter Racecourse for letting us collect at their meeting and for naming a race in our honour! Your horses might a lot faster than ours but we enjoyed being with them every bit as much!
