🐾✨ WELCOME TO BARK N SHINE GROOMING! ✨🐾

A warm welcome to Bark N Shine, my home-based dog grooming salon in Scarisbrick! 🩷🩵

I’m Ellie, a Level 2 & Level 3 qualified dog groomer and Pet First Aid trained. My aim is to provide a calm, friendly and comfortable grooming experience where every dog is treated with plenty of patience and care. 🐶🫧

From full grooms and bath & blow dries to deshedding, hand stripping, and puppy introductions, there’s something to suit every pup. Bark N Shine even offers a Pick Up and Drop Off service for an extra charge ! ✂️🐾

🐾 Meet Koba the Staffordshire Bull Terrier! 🐾

Koba came in for a Wash & Blow Dry + Deshed Treatment to get him feeling fresh and remove all that loose coat. 🛁✨

We started with a lovely wash using Buddycare Pet Care Products Aloe & Lemongrass deshed Shampoo, followed by a good blast dry. I then went through his coat with a rubber mitt to lift out the remaining loose hair. 🫧🐶

To finish, Koba had his nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and a spritz of One in a Million perfume from Bugalugs Pet Care . 💕

Such a handsome boy and looking super fresh after his groom! 🐾✨

🐾 Meet Arlo the Labradoodle! 🐾

Today I had the lovely Arlo in for a pamper at Bark N Shine 🤎 I started off with a deep cleansing wash using Buddycare Pet Care Products 2-in-1 Curly Coat Shampoo 🫧✨ He was such a good boy for the blaster, and I gently finished drying his face with the dryer — which he handled so well!

I then worked through some knots and small matts in his coat. Arlo started to become a little stressed, so I stopped rather than pushing him and moved on with the rest of his groom. His comfort will always come first. 💗

✂️ Nails clipped
✂️ Body clipped using a 22mm comb attachment
✂️ Legs carefully scissored
✂️ Rounded head and muzzle shaped using my chunkers and a 19mm comb attachment
🧼 Ears cleaned to finish using Wahl Animal easy ear cleaner and a finishing spritz of Pet Perfume Company ‘savage’ 🐾

Arlo wasn’t too keen on having his legs touched, so we took everything at his pace and kept the groom as calm and positive as possible.

🐾✨ Meet Eve! ✨🐾

Today I had the lovely Eve, a rescue miniature working Golden Retriever, in for a deshed groom 💕🐶

We started with a lovely bath using Buddycare Grooming deshedding shampoo, and while the shampoo was working its magic, I gently worked through her coat with an undercoat rake to help loosen all that dead undercoat.

Eve was a little skittish with the blaster at first, so we took things slowly and calmly to make sure she stayed as relaxed and comfortable as possible 🤍 She did so well!

Once she was dry, I went through her coat again with the undercoat rake to remove the remaining loose undercoat. I then tidied up her furnishings, while keeping her gorgeous bloomers nice and long, and used my thinners to neaten the hair between her toes ✂️🐾

To finish, Eve had her ears cleaned with Easy Ear Clean and a spritz of Boss perfume from Pet Perfume Company so she left smelling as gorgeous as she looked! ✨💖

Such a sweet girl and an absolute pleasure to have in the salon 🥹🐾

Meet Mini the German Spitz 🐾💗

Mini came in for a lovely freshen-up and started with a wash using Bugalugs Pet Care Baby Fresh Shampoo, followed by a thorough dry with the blaster and dryer ✨

Once she was completely dry, I worked through her fluffy coat with a banded comb and undercoat rake to remove all that loose undercoat and leave her coat feeling light, soft and fluffy.

I then tidied up her bloomers and leg furnishings with the scissors to neaten her shape while keeping that gorgeous natural Spitz look ✂️

To finish, Mini had her ears cleaned with the Wahl Animal easy ear cleaning solution and a spritz of Bugalugs Pet Care Baby Fresh Perfume 🌸

She left looking super fluffy, fresh and smelling amazing! 🩷🐶

🐾✨ BARK N SHINE IS OFFICIALLY OPENING! ✨🐾

I’m so excited to announce that Bark N Shine Grooming will be fully opening from Monday 24th August! 💕🐶

To celebrate the official opening, ALL grooms will be 20% OFF from Monday 24th August until 1st October! 🎉

I am a fully qualified Level 2 & Level 3 Dog Groomer, as well as being Pet First Aid trained through two courses. I have experience working with lots of different dogs, breeds, coat types, sizes and temperaments, and every dog is treated as an individual while they’re in my care. 🫧✂️

🐾 Diesel’s Deep Deshed Groom 🐾

Today I had the lovely Diesel in — a gorgeous Rottweiler who came for a deep deshed groom to get rid of all that loose coat! 🖤🤎

Before his bath, I started with a rubber grooming mitt to loosen as much shedding hair as possible. Then it was bath time, where Diesel had a double wash using Buddycare Pet Care Products Aloe & Lemongrass Shed Control Shampoo 🛁✨

While the shampoo was still working through his coat, I used an undercoat rake to help lift and remove even more loose hair. After a good towel dry, I used the blaster to dry him thoroughly — and of course, even more hair came flying out! 😂🐾

Once Diesel was completely dry, I checked his nails, but they were already nice and short so they didn’t need trimming. I then continued working through his coat with the undercoat rake, rubber mitt and brushes until we’d removed as much loose undercoat as possible and his coat was looking smooth and shiny. ✨

To finish, Diesel had his ears cleaned with Wahl Animal easy ear clean solution and a spritz of Bugalugs Pet Care One in a Million perfume. 💙

He was such a good boy throughout his groom and definitely left feeling a lot lighter! 🥰🐶

🐾✨ Meet Teddy the Cockapoo! ✨🐾

Teddy was such a good boy for his groom today — he stood so nicely for everything! 🥹💗

We started with a lovely bath using Derma Sensitive Shampoo, perfect for his sensitive skin, before blasting him dry and fluffing out his coat with a slicker brush. 🛁✨

Then it was onto his pamper:
🐾 Nails trimmed
🐾 Paws tidied
🐾 Hygiene area cleaned up
🐾 Teddy Trim - 16mm comb attachment for a soft, fluffy finish on the body to Teddy trim lines
🐾 Lines on legs were blended with thinners
🐾 Legs shaped and scissored with straights
🐾 Classic rounded Cockapoo muzzle
🐾 Cute bell-shaped ears
🐾 Ear clean

And of course, we finished Teddy off with a spritz of One In A Million perfume so he left smelling just as handsome as he looked! 😍✨

Such a sweetheart to groom 💕🐾
