Dunslow Road veterinary Surgery is a small animal veterinary surgery which opened in June 2009. We aim to offer a high level of veterinary care for your pets at a reasonable price. The surgery is located on Dunslow Road behind Morrisons supermarket between Seamer Road and Cayton Low Road. There is a large car park in front of the surgery for sole use of our customers. The surgery offers full surgi

cal facilities with xray, ultrasound, dentistry and blood testing facilities. We also make use of external laboratory facilities for more complicated and specialised tests. We accept RSPCA and Cats Protection neutering and treatment vouchers and can also provide subsidised bitch spays and dog castrates through the Dogs Trust for those on benefits.

We have a part-time Veterinary Care Assistant position available at our practice!

The role will be Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.

We’re looking for someone who is caring, reliable and enjoys working as part of a busy veterinary team. Previous VCA experience is preferred.

This vacancy has become available as one of our current VCAs is progressing on to become a student veterinary nurse. Exciting for them, but it means we need someone new to join our team! 🥰

🐾 Believed to be over 10 years old

🐾 Not microchipped

📢 Important Update to Our Reminder Service 🐾

From 27th July, we will be changing the way we send our reminders to help keep your pets up to date with their preventative healthcare.

In addition to vaccination and Bravecto reminders, we will also be sending reminders for:

🐾 Flea and worming treatments
🐾 Librela injections
🐾 Cytopoint injections

Reminders may be sent by SMS text message and/or email.

We may also occasionally send pet health awareness emails relating to arthritis and skin conditions.

To ensure you don't miss any important reminders, please contact us to check that we have your correct mobile number and email address on file, or let us know if your details have changed.

If you would prefer not to receive these health awareness emails, or if you wish to opt out of reminders, please let us know and we can update your communication preferences.

🐾 Help Us Keep Appointments Available for Pets That Need Them 🐾

Since 1st June 2026, we have unfortunately had:

❌ 41 missed appointments
❌ 5 missed procedures

That's a total of 46 appointments that could have been offered to other pets waiting to be seen.

We completely understand that plans can change and emergencies happen. However, if you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you contact us as soon as possible to cancel or rearrange your booking. Even a little notice can allow us to offer that time to another patient in need of care.

To help reduce the number of missed appointments and ensure we can continue providing timely care to all our patients, we will now be introducing the following non-attendance fees:

• £7 for missed appointments
• £20 for missed procedures

We appreciate your understanding and support. By letting us know if you cannot attend, you are helping us make sure appointments remain available for pets who need them most.

We have a dark brindle female Staffordshire Bull Terrier who was found in Osgodby.

She is microchipped, but unfortunately we have been unable to contact the registered owner using the details on the chip.
