I think you’ll all join us in wishing Kelly all the very best for her operation tomorrow. ❤️

As many of you know, Kelly will be taking some time away to recover, we’re all hoping everything goes smoothly and that she’s back on her feet as soon as possible.

I’ve been working my way through messages and appointments to make sure that everyone who needs a groom while Kelly is off is looked after. If you’re still waiting to hear from me, please bear with me – I’m doing my best to get back to everyone and make arrangements where needed.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and support. It means so much to us.

For now, let’s send Kelly lots of love, positive thoughts, and well wishes for tomorrow. We hope for a successful operation, a comfortable recovery, and that she’ll be back doing what she loves before too long.

Thankyou also to Helen Morris Florist for the delivery to Kelly today as ordered. The bouquet exceeded expectations!

Whatever the groom, just ask. Today’s was a lively spaniel in for a bath, blow dry, nail clip, feet tidy, paw pad trim and ear brush and tidy with scissors, while keeping the rest of the coat natural and as it is.

✨ Sanity Over Vanity ✨

One thing I will always advocate for is putting the dog first.

As groomers, we can often be faced with the choice between achieving the “perfect” finish or listening to what the dog is telling us. For me, the decision is simple every single time.

If a dog needs a break, we stop.
If they need me to slow down, I slow down.
If a Happy Hoodie helps them feel safe and secure, they wear one.
If the dryer noise is too much, we adapt.
If brushing through knots is causing discomfort, I will always choose the kindest option over chasing a thicker coat or a perfect look.

A beautiful groom means very little if the dog leaves feeling stressed, frightened or overwhelmed.

My priority is creating a positive experience that builds trust and confidence, so your dog is happy to return again and again. Sometimes that means compromising on aesthetics, but I firmly believe a calm, comfortable dog is far more important than a flawless finish.

When you leave your dog with me, you’re trusting me to care for them as an individual, not just groom them. Their welfare, comfort and emotional well-being will always come before vanity.

Because happy dogs make the most beautiful clients. 🤎🐾
