As we move into spring and the warmer months, it’s still important to support our wild birds, particularly as they enter breeding and nesting season.

At this time of year adult birds are working hard to raise their young, with higher energy demands as they build nests and feed their chicks.

Alongside consistent feeding, maintaining good hygiene is key to helping protect bird health and ensuring feeding remains safe

It’s hedgehog awareness week this week so I thought I’d let you know a few tips to help our hedgehogs 🦔

🦔Keep a shallow dish of fresh water in your garden
🦔You have purchase specialist hedgehog food
🦔You should avoid things such as milk and bread and no heavily processed foods or gravy rich foods

After hibernation hedgehogs are at their most vulnerable and in dry conditions natural food sources can be hard to find.
Let’s give our hedgehogs a helping hand and support them in any way we can.
