So Iā€™m not just a dog walker Iā€™m a ā€˜CANINE ADVENTURE AND ENRICHMENT CONSULTANTā€™ā€¦

Yes, I have fun. A LOT of fun. But I also take what I do very seriously. šŸ¾

Being outside all day, exploring with dogs and getting covered in mud might look like Iā€™m just having a laughā€¦ and, to be fair, I absolutely am.

But behind the adventures is a genuine passion for canine wellbeing, enrichment, exercise and giving dogs the opportunity to experience the world in a safe, positive way.

So yes, the title Canine Adventure & Enrichment Consultant might sound a little fancyā€¦

ā€¦but this really is my job, my passion and something I care very deeply about.

And if I can have the best time in the world while doing it?
Iā€™ll take that.

Spend a wet Wednesday with WDR

A little peek behind the scenes at a very normal day at Walk Dog Runā€¦

Grab the coffees (because priorities)
Pick up the dogs
Head off on an adventure
Van gets a quick charge
Get wetā€¦ very wet
Sniff, explore, run & play
Back in the van, clean, dry and cosy
Then everyone home happy (and probably ready for a nap!)
REPEAT šŸ”„

Rainy days donā€™t stop the adventures ā€” they just mean more mud, more towels and slightly soggier dogs!

This is what a day with WDR looks likeā€¦ and honestly, I wouldnā€™t have it any other way

šŸ¶ Puppy exercise: more isnā€™t always better!

Itā€™s so easy to think a tired puppy is a happy puppy ā€” but sometimes what looks like endless energy, zoomies, biting, barking or refusing to settle is actually the Puppy Brain Melt!

Puppies are still growing, developing and learning how to regulate themselves. They need a balance of gentle physical activity, exploring, sniffing, enrichment, training and ā€” perhaps most importantly ā€” lots of sleep and downtime. šŸ˜“

Thereā€™s also no magic exercise formula that works for every puppy. Age, breed, size, development and the type of activity all make a difference.

So if your puppy suddenly seems to have lost the plot, before adding another walk or game, ask yourself:

Could they actually just be tired? šŸ¾

At Walk Dog Run, puppy adventures are always adapted to the individual puppy, with welfare, confidence and healthy development at the heart of what we do.
