🐶 Are all natural dog treats collagen-rich?
It's a question we're hearing more frequently as pet owners become increasingly interested in the nutritional benefits of natural treats.
Natural chews such as beef tendons, trachea, ears, chicken feet and fish skins are naturally rich in collagen, while treats made primarily from muscle meat or organs, such as jerky, liver and lung treats, typically contain much lower levels.
A simple guide:
✔️ Skin, tendons, cartilage and connective tissue = Higher in collagen
✔️ Muscle meat and organs = Lower in collagen
Understanding these differences can help you better educate customers and build a natural treat range that meets growing demand for functional, health-focused products.
