It’s with deep sadness and a heavy heart we say goodbye to our beloved beautiful boy Rufus.

Rufus has been in our lives since he was 8 weeks old, and after 12 years and 8 months he passed away this afternoon after a short illness. Over the years he has enriched our lives, loved so deeply and we can’t believe how lucky we are to have had such a kind, loving and gentle boy.

Our Mum, Sandra has been the best dog Mum ever, giving him the best life any dog could ever want. From growing up on the beautiful beaches of Selsey and West Wittering, running around the stunning wilderness of Moray in Scotland to spending his winter years getting love and treats in our pet shop in Saltash.

We know many of you have fallen in love with Rufus, and we really appreciate all the love, cuddles and treats he’s received over the years. He made lots of friends here, and we know he will be greatly missed by many of you all. We appreciate all the love you have given him and we thank everyone for coming in and seeing him in our shop since 2023.

We all love you so much Rufie Boy! You will always be in our hearts and we will miss you every day.

Due to personal unforeseen circumstances, the shop will be closing early today at 1pm.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, we thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.

Normal opening hours will resume from tomorrow. Our next delivery day will be Tuesday 8th September.

Happy Birthday Whisky! 🎂 celebrating his first birthday today, little pup is all grown up! Whisky has been a customer since he was 14 weeks old and it’s been a pleasure watching him go from tiny fluff to big boy, how quick a year flies by!

Heatwave season is continuing all through the summer ☀️ this weekend is set to be the hottest yet, and now it’s more important than ever to keep our doggies cool and comfortable.

Outside temperatures and hot pavements cause injury and heatstroke in dogs every year, at temperatures in the late 20s to low 30s we have forecast, all dogs of all ages are at risk.

Rufus and Bali will be spending this week at home infront of the fan, they look forward to coming back into the shop after the weather has cooled down and it’s safe for them to come back.

In the meantime, we still have plenty of summer toys, ice cream and frozen treats to keep your dogs cool and comfortable through the summer ☀️🍦
