💕 Gucci is back home with us! 🐴

Sadly, things didn't quite work out for Gucci in her new home, as she struggled to settle into her new herd. So, our lovely little girl has returned to us at HC Show Production. ❤️

Over the past week, we've been taking things very slowly and carefully when reintroducing her to other horses. Unfortunately, her experience had left her feeling quite frightened and unsure around them, which has been heartbreaking to see, especially as Gucci has always been such a sociable little pony.

But thanks to the wonderful Kali and a couple of our other horses, Gucci is slowly finding her confidence again. 🥰

It's been lovely watching her begin to relax, make friends and realise that she can feel safe and comfortable around other horses again.

Gucci really is a cracking little pony with so much to offer, and it's such a shame that things didn't work out for her. But sometimes things just aren't meant to be, and her happiness and confidence will always come first.

Hopefully, in the not-too-distant future, Gucci will be ready to start looking for her next perfect home. But for now, there's absolutely no rush. We'll give her all the time she needs. ❤️

With Gucci returning to us, this has also meant that Flower has returned to her previous owner.

For now, we're just pleased to have Gucci home, happy and gradually getting back to her usual cheeky self! 💕

🐴❤️ Every little donation makes a difference! ❤️🐴

Following her own accident on the road, Tinks is raising money for the British Horse Society's Dead Slow campaign, helping to raise awareness and make our roads safer for horses, riders and all road users.

This is a cause that is so important to all of us in the equestrian community. ❤️

🙏 Please donate if you can, even if it's just 50p! Every penny counts, and if we all stand together, those small donations can make a big difference.

🐴 TOP TIP TUESDAY – WINTER FEEDING ❄️

As we head towards winter, it's a good time to start thinking about our horses' diets and how we can help them maintain good condition through the colder months.

It's also the time of year when many youngsters are being weaned, making correct nutrition particularly important for their growth and development. 🐎

Here at HC Show Production, we have a variety of horses, from growing youngsters to competition horses and our older residents, all with very different nutritional requirements.

🌟 My top tip? Don't wait until your horse has lost condition before reviewing their diet!

Regularly assessing body condition, considering the quality of your forage and making sure your horse is receiving a balanced diet can make a huge difference.

We generally feed Baileys Horse Feeds alongside Mollichaff, adapting what each horse receives according to their individual needs, workload, age and condition.

One thing I always think is important to remember is that feeding isn't just about putting weight on. It's about providing the correct nutrition to support healthy growth, development and overall wellbeing.

And particularly with youngsters, we want steady, healthy development rather than encouraging them to grow or gain weight too quickly.

💬 I'd love to know what everyone else feeds through the winter. Do you change your feeding routine as the seasons change, or do you tend to keep things the same all year round?

🏆 Our First Dressage Outing – And What a Day! 🏆

On Saturday, Warrior and I headed off for our very first dressage outing together, and what a fantastic time we had! 🐴❤️

A huge thank you to Beth for coming along to video, offer moral support and cheer us on! 🥰

✨ Our first test saw us score 64+% and finish 3rd! 🥉

There are definitely a few things to work on, particularly finding a little more consistency in the contact and encouraging Warrior to be a bit more forward and willing. But these are all things we can improve with time, training and experience!

✨ Onto our second test, and Warrior was already feeling more forward and confident in his work. He put in a lovely test to score 68.41% and take the WIN! 🥇🏆

I honestly couldn't be prouder of him! ❤️ He's proving to be such a versatile little horse, and it's so rewarding to see everything we're working on at home starting to come together in the competition arena.

I already can't wait to get out and do it all again!

Although, there's no time to hang up our competition boots just yet… we're off jumping again this weekend! 🐎💨

A little bit of everything for our wonderful Warrior! ❤️

Who else loves having a horse that enjoys turning his hoof to different disciplines? 🥰

🐴💕 KALI'S PROGRESS UPDATE – LITTLE STEPS, BIG ACHIEVEMENTS! 💕

It's time for another update on our lovely Kali, and what a lot she has achieved since we last shared her journey with you! 🥰

For those who have been following Kali's story, you'll know that she arrived with us having had very little handling, so everything we do is about building trust, confidence and understanding at her own pace.

✨ So, what has she been up to?

🐴 Her first farrier visit – Kali was exceptionally well behaved and took the whole experience in her stride!

💉 Her first vaccination – A visit from the vet was understandably a little overwhelming for her, but what was lovely to see was that it didn't affect her day-to-day behaviour or the trust we had been building. Hopefully, by the time her next vaccination comes around, she'll have gained even more confidence and understanding.

🌧️ Getting rugged up – With the wetter weather arriving, Kali has been introduced to wearing a rug and is now happily rugged up on those particularly wet days.

💕 A new companion – Kali now has Gucci keeping her company! But that's a story for another day... 👀

🚶‍♀️ Walks and groundwork – We've started venturing out on little walks and introducing more structured groundwork sessions. She's proving to be an incredibly quick learner and, perhaps most importantly, she really seems to enjoy that one-to-one time and the opportunity to learn something new.

What I love most about working with horses like Kali is watching their confidence grow. Things that might seem completely ordinary to some horses can be huge milestones for others.

There's no rush, no pressure and no set timescale. Just patience, consistency and giving her the opportunity to understand what we're asking.

I'm so pleased with how far this lovely mare has come already, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what the next few weeks bring. ❤️

For those of you who have been following Kali's journey, which milestone do you think has been her biggest achievement so far? 🥰

📸🐴 A Lovely Day at River View Arabians ❤️

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of spending the day at River View Arabians, helping out during a photoshoot with the very talented Crispin Mould, photographing the beautiful Shared Round Oak mares and foals.

These are just some of the stunning photographs Crispin captured throughout the day. 📸

One of the things I love most about visiting a stud is having the opportunity to spend time with the horses, getting to know their individual personalities, building those little bonds and simply appreciating them.

It's not always about the hustle and bustle of showing or preparing horses for the ring. Sometimes it's lovely to take that time to quietly observe, appreciate their qualities and enjoy being surrounded by beautiful horses in such a relaxed environment.

A thoroughly enjoyable day, with lovely horses and great company. ❤️
