A car key was found on our driveway last week.

Could everyone please check their keys to see if they’re missing one?

If you think it might be yours, please give us a call at Divine Dogs on 01980 541057.

We’d hate for someone to be missing a spare car key without even realising! 🐾

Please share so we can reunite it with its owner! ❤️

🐱 CAT BITE UPDATE 🙈🙀

Well, Benji certainly left his mark! 😂 These photos show the damage a little better. Who knew one Bengal could cause quite such impressive bruising?!

Thankfully, after having my arm properly treated, I’m hoping there will be no further complications and it’s now just a matter of giving it time to heal. Most importantly, there’s no nerve or tendon damage, thank goodness. 🙏❤️

As much as I would LOVE to get back to work, I have to be strict with myself. Working in a dog grooming salon surrounded by dog hair, fur and water while I still have healing wounds simply isn’t worth risking another infection and potentially setting my recovery back.

So unfortunately I’m going to have to behave myself for a little while! 🙄😂

The bruising is rather spectacular and I think I’ll be left with a couple of little war scars to remember the occasion by. 😂

Lesson learnt: next time, PUT THE GAUNTLET GLOVES ON! 🤦‍♀️ I actually had them sitting in the salon, but when I saw Benji frightened I rushed straight in to rescue him without thinking.

Benji, of course, is absolutely fine and probably wondering what all the fuss is about. 😼🤣❤️

For now, it’s rest, healing and being sensible so I can get back to Divine Dogs as soon as it’s safe. 🐾✂️

📝 Note to self… NEVER underestimate a terrified Bengal cat! 🐆😂

Benji somehow managed to escape outside, and as a strictly indoor cat with absolutely no experience of the big wide world, he was understandably petrified. 😿

So, naturally, Mum went into rescue mode! 🙋‍♀️ I managed to catch hold of him and was determined to get my boy safely back indoors…

Benji, however, had a very different plan and immediately launched into FULL fight-for-your-life mode! 🐆💥

The good news? Benji made it safely back inside without so much as a scratch. ❤️🐾

The bad news? I definitely didn’t! 🤦‍♀️😂

One trip to A&E later, followed by Plastics and an operation to clean and flush out my arm… all thanks to my beloved little Bengal. 🏥🤕🐆

Unfortunately, it’s my right hand and arm, which isn’t exactly ideal when you’re a dog groomer! 🐶✂️ And dog hair plus a healing surgical wound is not a combination I’d recommend. 🙈

Thankfully, Ellie and Ella are holding the fort and keeping Divine Dogs running while I recover. ❤️🐾

If you’re waiting for a message or reply from me, please bear with me. I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I’ve had some proper rest and I’m feeling more like myself again.

Would I still have rescued Benji, knowing what was about to happen? Of course I would. ❤️

Would I do it the same way next time? Absolutely not. I’ll be wearing a full suit of armour! 😂🛡️

Final score:

🐆 Benji 1
🤕 Mum 0

Just look at these gorgeous golden oldies, loving a little pamper here at Divine Dogs 🐶🛁✂️💕

There’s something extra special about our senior doggies. A gentle groom, plenty of patience, lots of cuddles and, of course, a few treats along the way! 🥰🐾

Age is just a number when you’re this gorgeous! 💗🐕✨

What a holiday! ❤️

I’m finally back after the most wonderful break, taking Leighton to Universal, a trip we’ve been planning for many years as a celebration after all his hard work and exams. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of spending that special time with him. Watching him grow from the little boy so many of you remember meeting into a young man who’s now heading off to college… where has the time gone? ❤️

I’d also like to say a huge thank you to Ellie and Ella for keeping Divine Dogs running while I was away. You both did an amazing job looking after all of our wonderful clients and, of course, your beautiful pups. 🐶

A special thank you to Ellie for also looking after my boys, Eric and Fred 🐶, and Benji 🐱. It gave me complete peace of mind knowing they were so well cared for.

If you’ve messaged me while I was away, I’ve replied to as many as I could, but with the time difference I may have accidentally missed a few. If you haven’t had a response, please send me another private message and I’ll make sure we get you booked in and completely up to date.

Thank you all for your patience, your support, and for allowing me to make some precious memories with my family, It truly means the world to me. ❤️

Now… it’s lovely to be home and I can’t wait to see all of you and your gorgeous dogs again! 🐾

Well, today brought an unexpected visitor to the salon… a little lizard! 🦎😂

I have absolutely no idea how it managed to get into the office, but I think the air conditioning had made the poor little thing very slow and sleepy.

Armed with nothing more than a piece of card and a jar, I carefully scooped it up and took it outside, releasing it safely into the grass in the garden. Hopefully it’ll have a much better day out there than on a cold salon floor covered in dog hair! 🤣🌿

Nature certainly likes to keep us on our toes at Divine Dogs. I hope our tiny guest warms up quickly and carries on with its adventures. ❤️🦎

This is why we chose Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue. ❤️🐾

One of the wonderful outcomes of Saturday’s Amesbury Carnival Dog Show was being able to raise valuable funds to support dogs in need of rescue.

This year, we were honoured to choose Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue, an Amesbury based charity run by the amazing Hilda.

I first met Hilda when she brought Coby to me for grooming. She shared these photographs of him when he was first rescued, and they broke my heart.

Just look at the difference…

The first photos show a dog who had clearly been neglected. His coat was so severely matted that it restricted his movement and comfort. Yet even through it all, he never gave up.

Fast forward to today, and Coby is almost unrecognisable. With love, patience, veterinary care and a forever home, he has blossomed into the happy, healthy and handsome boy you see in the last photos. His eyes now shine with trust and happiness.

This is the difference rescue makes.

Please never underestimate what a donation, fostering a dog or offering a forever home can do. Every act of kindness gives another dog the chance to experience the love and security they deserve.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, adopting or making a donation, please take a look at Hungary Hearts Dog Rescue. They would be so grateful for any support you can offer.

Thank you to everyone who came along to the Amesbury Carnival Dog Show. Because of your support, together we’re helping to give more dogs like Coby the second chance they truly deserve. 🐾
